Alright, thanks. Hopefully they'll be able to patch it later (or sorted with new cat's).

In the bandit temple you need to walk on those small ways of light.
And maxos temple is in the north west of the map, in that big valley.

Are those flying fortress "teleport" areas used for anything, i've cleared all of them (Including BV, that one had a purpose though.) but I've mainly done it for the various higher level items (Hint: Explore everything.) and trying to explore as much of the game world as possible and do all there is to do.
(I got a ton of weapons and armor now, takes up a bit of space and some "named/unique" gear can't even be sold or removed, perhaps quest related further in.)
Bit of a silly question perhaps but they seem rather out of place.
(Those damn shields are annoying as well albeit I've managed to disable most of them by now, two left though over the citadel in Orobas Fjords and one village nearby, perhaps just a artificial limitation.)
EDIT: Oh and swimming around the Orobas Fjords areas isn't recommended even though you can get to that area early on, bugged a quest for Wesson (Kept vague, trying to avoid spoilers.) by triggering a event earlier than intended, funny that there's invisible walls and such but you can still swim around pretty far even though it's clearly not intended.
EDIT: So that's what (Part of) their purpose is, now to see if I can't fix that problem with Wesson as it turned out to be a bit more important than I thought albeit it seems it can't be fixed, whoops.

For anyone not being able to get the game to run :
Burn it with Alcohol 120% with RMPS enabled.
Then install+run it on any system with DT (no yasu or other tools needed) by enabling the RMPS emulation option.
As for the graphics, AA doesn't appear to work.
This is why the game looks "ugly" on lowres screens.
I'm running it 1920x1080 and it looks awesome.
You might want to try fiddling with the settings (disable HDR , forcing AA) to see if it helps.
I suspect this will be fixed as the AA setting itself is included in the menu.
(oh and Im using a nvidia 8800GT, so ati cards aren't the only ones where AA isn't working).
--edit
Oh, and forgot to add that the game is fckin awesome.

AA should work with NVIDIA on any card that's a 8000 serie or above (HDR+AA) albeit it needs the most current drivers installed from what I've read, ATI users can force it via ATI Tray Tools at the moment. (As can NVIDIA via nHancer on older drivers.)
EDIT: More weird and funny screens plus a odd bug.
Spoiler: |
TES refence perhaps?
Bounty hunting results.
Quest and one of it's possible conclusions.

Seems the game hasn't considered that the max level is 60.
(Atleast from what I've noticed with a bit of editing via T-Search.)
(Also mind-reading level 15 gives 100% price reduction from merchants, haha.)
(And some other skills cap at 13 or 5 or 10, perhaps due to balance or a certain choice.)

also after this first occurred when i closed the game with Alt+F4 and tried again says software emulation detected and didnt want to work again with DTlite and yasu then found another forum where said to disable IDE from dev manager did that worked after i loaded and tryed a couple of times then again software emulation detected and stopped working then i switched to VC9 so far its working but havent tried to many times
EDIT : neither starting a new game helps it freezes in the same way

I've installed the most recent nvidia driver, running W7 x64 RTM.
AA does not work in DD2 with my 8800GT (forced or otherwise).
Luckily I can play on my 1080p screen, but I can imagine people badmouthing the game because of it (cause it was damn ugly @ 720p).

Talk with a doctor?
Spoiler: |
Needleman to be more precise, in the inn at the village where you arrived.
|
EDIT: Completed the game, thought there was a bit more to it than that albeit due to how the ending played out I guess a sequel might happen eventually, although for now the quest is over.
(Tried to do most everything so all in all probably a bit over 20 hours of playtime, missed some things though and some quests can be done in other ways although in most cases the log will show you as failing it.)
EDIT: More weird screens.

They will have a purpose later on, or if you explore a bit you might find one for them, as for the scales rush straight for them while having a lot of healing potions and similar items (Might be a good idea to bind them to quick slots.), not much else you can do.
EDIT: Drops are random albeit not super randomized, most enemies don't really drop much at all and the same is true to the majority of containers, your level influences a bit of what quality the items are but it's not like better items suddenly start popping up everywhere just because you gained a few levels.

Does anyone know if the item drops are random, so a new game would mean new drops?

I had a couple of crashes that meant I had to replay a couple of boss fights. The drops from enemies and the containers all seemed to be randomised, IE first play through I would find a basic formula in an urn, second time it would be replaced by a stack of gold. The same seems to hold true for "rare" weapons and armour, albeit all that seems to be random about them is whether it is an axe/sword/bow/leggings/breast plate etc etc

I 'm having a problem with the "To lay a ghost to rest" quest. It's the second main one you're given. Now, before I got the quest I already explored the area where the quest is. The problem is that now i can't get into the passage under the chapel. The only way to enter is to go through another entrance. Also, where exactly am I supposed to use the key given to me by Rhode?
Please help, I don't wanna have to go through everything from the beginning.

Minor spoiler.
The key should be usable in the chapel itself, door towards the far end near the altar.

Except, the game doesn't register the door. The only interactable thing in the chapel is a barrel right of the coffin.

That's strange the door should be fully usable once you've gotten the key for it.
(Gathered what was needed in the village and reported about it, though if you hadn't you wouldn't have gotten the key in the first place.)

Well, I got into the chapel the first time without any key, and killed all goblins in those tunnels. Then I stumbled on the prisoner in the jail cell and set him free. Maybe I wasn't supposed to enter through the chapel(to be sure we're talking about the same place, it's the one with the stone casket over which there's some blue crap floating).
