Also, after one point in the game, inventory managment becomes much, much easier, since you get the option to "send" items into Your base from any place at no cost. Which means You'll probably regret those 5 points invested into the skill Wink

Finished the game also, the ending was quite cool, tho i expected a bit larger game tbh.

So far I've never had a problem with managing the items, barely break 100 usually... No point saving unused weapons/armor after all, and you can dump all the non-quest books and misc. stuff (forks etc.) as well.

Yea, I got 45 books already, dont want to throw them away.. But since there is no way to store them until the Dragon Tower I guess I have to get rid of them.
And I won't regret those 15 points I invested in lockpicking, inventory size and mindreading at the beginning cause I cheated myself +100 points thanks to tsearch. I want to try out everything! It's just stupid to waste these precious points for stuff that should've been unlocked in the first place.
(I'm not cheating on gold, xp and level up points btw., or else it would be too easy)

If you mean Aleroth you can return from it back to Broken Valley.

As for the quests I'm a bit uncertain on the first one but the second one is fairly easy.
(One of the commanders might have that amulet, unsure which one, just clear the fortresses one by one.)

Just for reference: the game starts with VirtualCD 9.3 (indirectly inserted the image into the real optical drive), i'm on Windows XP x64. Pretty spectacular, usually on x64 systems bypassing disk checks is not that easy.

Anyway, i was wondering...Does anyone knows how to run it in windowed mode? There's a "Fullscreen" attribute in graphicsettings.xml, but it affects nothing (resets back to "1" after i launch the game).

No, that doesn't work. And it shouldn't. Because xml file rewriting is a side effect. The game just writes the effective config back at some point. And the effective config includes Fullscreen="1".

I guess the settings.dv2 file contains the actual configuration then if the xml file is just a log, actual settings are also in the EXE albeit altering those isn't really possible and that dv2 file for settings (And the other one for achievements.) are not normal dv2 files like the ones with packed data in them, unsure how they work actually since they're just 1KB big.
(Must control something though editing them seems difficult.)

Can't get it to work on XP 32 bit with that VC 9.3 Sad.

First I didn't realize I had to make a 'virtual copy' of the mounted image in DT. I did that, but after that the game would give me a loading icon next to the mouse in windows. I see the .exe running in taskmanager but then just stops without any errors.

Anyone got an idea?

There's a pre-made mini-image for VCD on GCW, might help.

Damn. It hungs after the tutorial (when i leave the village and enter the zeppelin), even though i did all the required stuff (changed the language in the registry to English(US), unpacked the dialog file, renamed it, placed the unpacked content into /Data, renamed *German.dialog to *English(US).dialog, renamed "German" soundbank directory to "English(US)"). After that i even tried to pack all back into a new Dialogs.d2v and to remove the unpacked files - still hangs at loading.

you don't need to make any virtual copies, cpt love. just use the mini-image. jeez, like this wasn't posted about 20 times before.

unmount the image from daemon tools, disable the virtual drives, exit daemon tools, mount mini image in vcd.

There is no english version. The best you can do is to have english text and german audio.
Search this topic on how to acomplish that.

How do i kill the two black ring guard scouts in that tower?. I hit them and the damage does not go down whatever i do.

It's the part where the guy says to the other guy about if anyone wins a game of cards to get the girl upstairs
