Are the current keys blacklisted or did you enter a blank key?
(000 and so on, not recommended as it'll trigger fade quickly giving some of the gameplay issues explained in the above posts.)

EDIT: Perhaps BAT cracked the patch with their 1.03 "dox" release?
(On a similar note I wonder if they got FADE removed or will it still trigger?)

Ive tried bats update/crack. No triggers found yet. Ive played for about 4 hours straight and nothing happened so far. The gameplay is abit smoother too than before. Still, i dont think the game lives up to the hype. Its OFP and arma all over. Only better graphics and some AI tweaks. But just because u want realistic gameplay doesnt mean u wanna listen to a dialog thats apparently been recorded by Stephen Hawking...

That's actually an insult to Stephen Hawking. At least his computer finishes his words and sentences.

By the way, using the battery 1.03 crack, my game crashes during the loading of a saved campaign. (I was in the middle of Razor 2). I haven't tried it with a new game yet. I'd rather not lose my progress.

The readme for the patch mentions that it's not recommended to use savegames from older versions (Has been mentioned since the first patch actually.), instead you can replay the current level itself albeit from the beginning.
(Better than starting over entirely though.)

EDIT: Although upon re-reading it you should still be able to load a save albeit with not all of the changes active until the level is restarted or you complete it and move to the next one.

it was mentioned that the patch breaks existing save games
which isn't that surprising as it extensively repairs broken mission scripts
you have to click 'revert' at the last campaign mission selection to restart the mission
you don't have to restart the campaign - just the last mission

I restarted a mission and that worked for me. However the support heli stopped working in one of the missions so i just did the campain all over instead. It worked ever since. Still, the ai leaves alot to wish for. Opfors are standing still or running toward the fire. No hiding as far as i can see. Unless u call it hiding when they stand, prone, stand, prone etc etc for aeons... Sure makes them harder to kill...
@dataschmuck: yup, i apologize to Stephen Hawking. Even his computer completes it sentences...

heli stops working if it gets shot down in the mission

the patch finally fixed 'delaying the bear' joke of a mission and i got to the next one after that.. which is the most fucking retarded mission i've ever played
they've used the warfare multiplayer module to make the singleplayer mission
which means the enemy can SPAWN troops and vehicles out of THIN AIR
you clear one location, and the second you turn your back to it, a jeep with a grenade launcher appears behind you
so much for "simulation"

also, the cheating AI is REALLY getting on my nerves
not only is it ridiculously accurate, it has several times nailed me through the wall before i have even peeked around the corner and there's no way they could have seen me there

Yup, i agree. The AI is extreme sometimes and they even shoot through the hillside to get u. And as far as the support heli goes, it wasnt shot down. He just wouldnt land. Just hoovered 30 feet up in the air. There he was til he got shot down... Or ran out of fuel. Dont even know if its possible but there were no enemies around him...

I've never noticed that in my xx hours of playthrough, is that a fact?

Ehm.. You can't since it's just an ERROR that says "Wrong CD-Key detected" or some shit like that.

Well.. I can't help you then. I wasn't required to enter a serial when updating.

mission 'badlands'
just after 'delaying the bear', which was fatally bugged in pre 1.03 versions
you only get these missions if you choose the NAPA branch of the campaign when you're left behind

Anyone else experienced "mission lagg" on Manhattan misison?
One incident, i tried to arrest the woman, spoke to her etc in her village.
Nothing happened after i reported her in.
2 hours of gameplay later HQ responds and issues new order that i can take her to the landingzone for extraction. I mean, wtf?!
Sure the latest patch fixed some scripting issues, but they really need to get a new patch out asap. No wonder the missions takes forever to complete....

FYI all battlefield games have been playable by far better than this out of the box despite the MINOR bugs they had

I thought it was a very good game the first days i played it, but then i couldn't finish some missions because of a bug. Didn't also know if is was a bug or not at first ... it's annoying and it breaks the joyness of playing the game. And then the commands of the game, come on, it sounds terrible. Did they really think we wanted to play a game like that ??

And then the ai ... As mentioned before one can hit hit you through walls at a distance of over 250 m ?? But on the other hand if you stand next to a mercenary at a distance of 1 meter they don't notice you at all and it's still there after 3 patches.

And i could go on and on and on but fuck it, it's just another game from eastern europe which sucks but i had high expectations of this one, what a disappointment and they should be ashamened of themselfes.

accountbroken, have you played OpF or ArmA before? The command system is the same, so dont rage here, kid Razz
And yes, the community wanted to play a game like that.

As for the bugs - ArmA was playable after, I think, about 5th patch Wink

5th patch = a year after release? To get Arma playable took that long...
And no, the community didnt wanna play a game like this. Like Shole said earlier, this crap is nowhere near the claimed extraordinary simulator its hyped up to be. I lay my hopes on OFP2. And i think accountbroken was referring to the actual speech, not the command system. And yes, its beyond crap.

Is it an excuse that a game is only playable after 5 patches however ...

Well as for Arma i tried to play it but i got to many graphical corruptions all the time with diffrent gfx cards and all the patches so that game was totally unplayable for me.

But i thought they would have learnt ...

Opf i didn't play at all at that time i didn't know a shit about games and computers Razz
