I like adventure games (yes, SHOCK, I like the GAMEPLAY!) I am glad they are having a revival. I couldn't give a shit if other people don't like them.

Looks like a dupe, ALiAS release was first. But for end user doesn't matter I guess.

hi there
i have installed chapter one of the tales of monkey island after i applied the crack i clicked on the icon to launch the game and the telltale screen comes up and i press launch game but the game does not load and brings an 0xc00000005 error.
i am running:
amd athlon dual core x 64
2 gigs ram
geforce 8500gt
asus m2v-am motherboard
could you please help me out cause chapter 2 is out and i still have to play chapter 1

you might need to allow the crack to be in the dep exclusion list in windows
0xC0000005 can be a bad crack (code executed in non code section), or an import issue...

stopped again with the 0xc00000005 error only once ita has loaded and again now its not loading after i press launch game
help needed here

We see that TE (aka. ViTALiTY) left their bogus proper reason of our
previous release in their nfo for this game.
We would like to mention that the TE version isnt retail, and
their previous one wasnt either. Neither is ours. Our release is from
STEAM, which is better. Theres no messy installer to run, just unpack and
play! Another thing that is superior in the STEAM edition of this game is
the fact that it does not include an exe that has been raped by SecuROM,
beyond the ability of TE to repair.
Because thats the other thing ...
Their crack still uses emulation to defeat the SecuROM protection.
This cheap method of cracking results into decreased performance. As
stated before by other groups, protections should be removed entirely.
We bring you a completely clean crack:
VTY MonkeyIsland103.exe: 20,271,104 bytes
Our MonkeyIsland103.exe: 6,385,664 bytes
Size does matter.
Sounds familiar?
While we dont agree with this and their other lame and intentionally bogus
proper reasons, we only think its fair that they get nuked by their

That's shite, the TE releases use the official Telltale installer, not some cobbled together steam rip.  So that means that TE is retail. Gimps.

Retail means it's on cd/dvd, right ? Was this released on disc ? If not, then it's the same as a steamrip.

It will be at the end of the web run, and when it is, it'll be the Telltale installer it uses, so yes, released on disc, hence retail.
