some of these changes really seem to fuck up the lore :/

Its been always like that, first was trailer made by using ingame engine then before its really released a real cgi intro will get out.

Although I like Blizzard's CGI trailers, it's not what I wanted. The ingame footage trailer have too slow pace for my taste. I know I shouldn't expect huge improvements in graphics or animation from Blizzard, but it looks just the same. Except that this time it's not purple (Outland). This time it's not blue (Northrend). This time it's RED [fire] everywhere.
Animations (shown in this trailer) of characters in combat still look lame, come on, they don't have enough money for some motion-caption, right?
Because I'm former WoW player I can't help but to see these small details. And for that matter the trailer lacks epic feeling for me.
On the other hand did you mention new water effects in Stormwind Harbor? Maybe they'll improve at least something.

I played WoW for years as well as tried/played every other major MMO. WoW has by far the best and most fluid combat animations.
Yes they improved water everywhere, it's now shiny and nice. No more of that horrible crap water they have now.

I find for example AoC animation better.
You can't argue that Blizzard, with their income, could improve WoW at least technically. Engine and texture revamp in the course of few months/years. Come on, it's most popular MMORPG of western market with well over 5 years old engine.

Gah, I don't know. Maybe all the classes are just to boring for me now. Ive been playing WoW since beta done all content and got gladiator rank on a few chars. Somehow I can't enjoy the game much anymore. Enabled my acc again after a few months but Im hardly playing. This trailer seems a bit dull aswel.

Dunno why the just dont make another hero class there are alrdy many races to choose from.
I want new spells/skills not a new race that only has new looks and some racials.

Well, If I recall correctly they said that more hero classes would pop up during WotLK. They said that on their last blizzcon tour. So it's nice to see that they were just talking out of their asses and all we got was DK's last time around.

i don't think you realise how much effort is required to add a new class, lol. it also totally fucks with every balance issue out there and makes the game 100x worse.

No no, don't get me wrong. I know it's not easy implementing a new class. However that's what the devs said back when WotLK was coming out and they spoke about the Hero Class(es). Then again when WoW was going to come out there were already supposed to be Hero Classes in the game but it got pushed back to WotLK, and what a dissapointment that was.

It's sort of like watching a 1 legged puppy get beaten with a club... Poor WoW... How once mighty and amazing you once were.
This expansion feels so void of the life and wonderment that the original game once had. Even TBC and WoTLK had some energy to them... this feels so utterly soul-less.
I loved WoW more than anyone I knew for a long time, it was my life and though I have regrets about a lot of things it did to my life, I still have some very fond memories. The new Activision-Blizzard has literally stripped it of all the pizazz it once had.
Fuck you Activision-Blizzard, this expansion looks and feels completely like a cash grab.

I agree, this game is only a shell of its former self.
WoW when released was one of the most fun games I've ever played, getting my character to 60 was a real adventure and a whole lot of fun.

the only dungeon they've reused so far is naxxramas and that's because NOBODY got to see it at 60, it's a nice piece of work and it would suck if nobody could explore it because of some elitist fucking idiots. Onyxia is soon to be remade but purely for the anniversary of wow and it's coming in a free content patch and not the expansion - it's better than getting fuck all like any other mmo out there. Cata expansion is going back to Azeroth (which almost all enjoy more than the new islands in the new expansions) and changing it all around, totally changing how the world is which also means they will bring in new quests for 1-60, 80-85 and other things lore related - it's not just HERE HAVE THE SAME OLD WORLD WITH A NEW TEXTURE TO MAKE IT LOOK DESTROYED, they are actually rebuilding all of it and adding 7 new zones (ie the same amount wotlk, tbc added) along with new races, dungeons, raids, gear, talent systems, rated bgs, new arenas, new bgs and so much other bullshit i just cant be bothered to list it all
leveling from 1-60 will be refreshing and new, it will definitley make leveling more enjoyable as most of the old quests are extremely outdated. I don't see why people fail to understand.
in the end if you arent anti wow like most of this community then im fairly sure its something you can look forward to. I know myself i'm going to enjoy it when it's out and i've been enjoying all the content i've had so far.

Well.. after reading a bit more i can say that i've gotten a bit more interested. I'll just buy it just like every expansion, they're usually fun at first but it's the endgame that could get fucked up. So when do you guys think the game is going to get released? Around this time next year?
I mean we've only got one more content patch to go..
