I have a 1.4 gig athlon processor with Win XP SP2 and I cannot load the hoodlum release. The same copy works on my buddies intel machine.

As you can see I'm a newb to this board so please excuse my newbness... and any help would be appreciated. What I'm wondering is if the Myth release or Carbon release that are listed on the index correct some of the problems that people are having with the Hoodlum release?

Just finished the game, and I must say it was great. I really hope that they will make an expansion or sequel soon. I can't understand why some reviews say that Diesels voice acting is poor, in my opinion it's very good and it fits the character of Riddick (but who cares about reviews anyway Razz).

Ok, for all the people getting the "application failed to initialize blah blah blah" error (me included) I have heard it is because you have Alcohol 120% or other burning software installed....so uninstall 'em.
Haven't tried this yet myself 'cos i want to keep Alcohol for now.

NOONE CARES!
I have alcohol installed and the release worked fine. Good game but hand to hand combat was too easy, still one of the best games this year Smile

I found it rather right length actually. If you dont go by a walkthrough and so on. I explored the mines, got killed a couple times, explored some more, ried to find cig packs, annoyed riot guards and so on.

Took me 5 days to make it. It was of good length, not tooo long so u get bored, and not tooo short.

I've finished the game on xbox and I only got the game to be able to play it in commentary mode. Too bad I can't access the damn mode without completing the game again! Is there any way around this? The unlock cheat code unlocks everything else but not the commentary mode.

Could someone who's finished the game send me a copy of his or her profile perhaps? Pretty please....

What i have noticed, the unlocked thing of commentery mode is not in the saves.

After reinstalling riddick it refused to go into commentery mode from new game:/...although my profile was old.

Damn! I simply don't have the motivation nor time to play the whole game all over again. There has to be a trick to get it open...

Anyone tried it and it's working good burned or mounted with the hoodlum cd release

That one is a real challenge

Hoodlum's release, CD or DVD you're talking about?

I want to know if anyone has 12.12.04.The.Chronicles.Of.Riddick.Escape.From.Butcher.Bay.Developers.Cut.CD1.Clone-Carbon working with the Hoodlum CD2 to 5 release.

As it is right now, no one can confirm that the clone-carbon release exists beside the nfo on Nforce which might be fake.

What is this game like? Do you think one can enjoy it even if he thinks the movie was crap?

This game is great. Has almost nothing to do incommon with the movie. You sure can enjoy it without watching either of the movies.

Game was laggy until ATI brought out their 5.1s

Have finished and now going back to collect all the cig packs and finish EVERY mission. As in finding the snitch, going back after you meet Jagger...etc.

Some like this game some won't, I do and that's really all that counts, personal preference

what was laggy about it?
I could play the game 1024x768, full detail, no FSAA with very smooth gameplay. Actually the framerate was around 30 but the game ran very smoothly. Short loading times too.
