Yeah, I got that, it's just that I expected to be a bit more of them (few months back when I first installed beta I thought they'll expand a bit)...

Microsoft.Windows.7.Ultimate.Original.MS.ISO.x64-GRP

I got that one, is it fine ? Bootable, right ? Does it need a serial to install or do I skip that step and use a loader later ?

Can't test it cause I'm on x32 and I can't set it up in Virtualbox

iNatan: One question more. If I'd want to change from Vista 32bit business to Vista 64bit business do I need to get exactly the same OEM version of Vista? I have Vista 32bit business OEM so should I find on the net exactly the same OEM version of 64bit Vista? Or can I just get any version of Business edition and it will adjust itself to my cdkey of 32bit Vista OEM?

Nope, fortunately with Vista, the edition of Vista is decided by the key used during install, so no need for silly DVD version hunting (like with XP). Smile

Does it matter if it's SP1 version of leeched version of Vista 64bit ?

Sorry if i missed the info in the past 50+ pages, but when running the Hazar loader do you need to run slic 2.1? Do you need to modify your mobo bios? I have a 1-2 yr old Gigabyte mobo and not sure if it is required. If not, I imagine I am selecting the OEM brand tag then just installing the loader and verify after complete. Has anyone tried the new 1.5 release 2? Is the key different than the previous and reportedly will be banned key? tia

Well, I finally upgraded my XP (yes, xp) straight to win7, as I skipped Vista (had it still in my laptop).

I'm blown away. I would have never believed that it actually feels a lot faster! Maybe newer programs are more adjusted for Vista/win7, but the overall funcionality still feels really smooth.

Anyway, is there a need for activation hacks yet, or should I just use my 3 trial resets (still doable?) and wait for more valid keys/activators?

My video player of choice is Zoom Player and im pretty sure that its not worse than any other good player - although it crashes sometimes Laughing

As for the "best" renderer, i dont think there is such a thing, at least not for all situations. For my 23,976p outputting Radeon 4890, EVR just stutters like hell and Haali doesnt for example.
And now there's MadVR which is supposedly better at something, wil try that again in a few days

Any of you guys experience slow/sluggish aero animation when closing and opening windows in w7 x64? When i disable this option in advanced settings (animate windows when minimizing and maximizing) all is smooth.
In vista business aero animation was very smooth before going to windows 7.
I can live without aero animations but i curious if this is a bug or vga driver related.

It's not only Nvidia problem and it's still here unfortunately. Had the same problem since the beta.

Reminds of the awfully bad drivers nVidia had for Vista at the start. It took so long to finally be able to properly use my 8800GTX back then. At least now the bugs are really minor. Smile

I can't say for sure if this is only nvidia issue and some ati users experience the same problem. My current driver is 186.18 and i have tried all 19x.xx drivers with no luck. Sad

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread and iNatan's guide. Converted from XP to 7 in 20 mins and an hour or so to reinstall all apps. Only MPC + ffdshow had issues and choppy playback. Changed to MPC HC 64 and fixed it up.

No animation problems here (using 190.62). I've read about it though and it affects both ATI and Nvidia users.

On my main PC, I did an upgrade from a 2232 build -> works great.
Upgraded the laptop from Vista -> works great.

But if you are using XP you have no choice, you must do a full install. Smile
