Does FN4 have a first person view option like FN3 did?

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Maybe if you're a fan of that particular sport. I'm not, and the UFC game was a clusterfuck of button combinations and unrewarding, untactile gameplay. Again, if you're a fan of the sport these are just hurdles to you guys. If you're not a fan, they represent barriers.

So, as a fan of boxing Fight Night 4 is much better imo Very Happy

The game is simply more fun to me, ground and pound, takedowns, knockouts, grappling, controls make more sense to me as well, I simply don't get why in FN4 you have some moves that will punish the body with just the right stick, it should be RS = head, LT+RS = body like in UFC, some moves with right stick will hit the body and I am aiming for the head, I'm just not that good with the RS I want a simple jab and I produce something else like a hook, my punches are flying all over.

And I'm not sure about fighting 8 rounds just to see a knockout, I am all for realism but common I want some fun as well, there should be some balance.

Yeah the controls aren't as exact as I'd like either. It seems to be worse than the previous titles in that respect, but at least you can use the old control scheme. You will sacrifice some of the speed benefits of the new system, but its perhaps a tad more forgiving. Either way it's not perfect by any means, but I at least don't have to memorise so many different button combinations for what to me are completely alien situations! Like I said; I have no interest in UFC so for me these hurdles in merely learning how it works, let alone remembering it in the heat of battle and applying that knowledge, was more than enough of a barrier to turn me off once FN4 was released.

I will say there are some good elements to UFC, and if you're familiar with the sport it'll be a great game for you - but it definitely isn't newbie friendly and the mechanics are too mechanical that it might suffer once EA get their version out...

It's what the fans wanted. It's what the engine deserved. The old games were 1-3 rounds maximum... with the sliders you can now tweak the game into a timeframe that suits you.

Only thing I hate about UFC is the frequent flash knockouts. Really, too many... FNR4, I will play again with a different style once button punching is out...

Im still baffled why the dev's thought it was a "bright" idea to remove the option to use button's for punching...that is just totally uncalled for. EA Sports is known to do these kind of things though..atleast ALWAYS let it be an open option to us..not totally remove a feature that is pretty much something that alot of gamers would love to have as an option.

As for UFC..i think its a good game too..no reason why a person cant like both, i do think the one punch knockouts are a "tad" too frequent but then again, its all about your defense in a brawl...i learned over time that keeping a good defensive posture really helps from getting put to sleep lol

Not tried the new patch yet but you do get a little blood from cuts on their faces, and there is blood stains & splatters on the canvas of the floor as well.

Yeah, in UFC there is more blood on the floor than two human beings have inside.

Thats because that happens pretty regular in MMA... in boxing, not so much.

New patch coming out promises some gameplay adjustments;

Should be a good reason to boot it up again.

tried the cccx release of this recently, is there a censored version of this? my game you barely see any blood, like nothing compared to fight night round 3, I see red faces and the occasional cut with no blood, but no blood running down or broken noses or even bleeding noses, I have the physical damage slider turned all the way up too. It's funny cause even the commentator says "his nose is bleeding badly" yet it isnt, any help appreciated.

I always play this game but the disconnections do your head in.
