Laughing had such a frustrating day today.

As some may know, my GF has an old ex boyfriend who was violent with her. He is nothing to be scared of to me ; a 5 foot 9 skinny kid to put it bluntly. But he just wont back off.

We where in town today, and he shouted some childish abuse at her when he saw her. Instantly I went to lamp him completely on impulse, but she held me back insisting it wasnt worth it and use the old 'dont hit him, do it for me please he isnt worth it'. I felt so powerless but I agreed with her and walked off with a simple 'grow up'.

he followed us (WITH his new girlfriend Question?) into her work place. he started to accuse her of abusive emails (total rubbish) in front of her colleagues and me. Again, I got right in his face at this point and told him to leave. He wouldnt look at me in the eye.. and continued to say he would 'get the police' if she continued. This is totally ridiculous as his claims are utterly false and kind of confusing. The whole time I wanted to snap his scrawny neck right there but I felt I couldnt because her feelings are obviously more important. He finally gave in with me in his face and walked off.

I cant shake the aggression though, its eating at me for not whacking him one to shut him up. What would you have done in this situation? did I handle it right? am I a shit boyfriend for letting him upset her right in front of me?

im going nuts over this. Laughing so much rage from today, just want to bang my fists on a wall until they explode Twisted Evil

Hah these situations sucks, they piss me off so much..
She's not supposed to have any feelings hence that was an ex.. so how about your feelings? Why hold your anger on a prick that deserves it? I woulda eat him alive.. or, if she really insisted to not get involved (since i see no reason not to) i woulda just "fuck off" and leave (creating a situation where she has to follow you cuz you left and you're more important DUH, and if he still followed.. well.. it's you who's followed now so no more excuse for holding your anger Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy )

I did this before to one of her other exes when she wasnt in the know about it. It just got me into a lot of trouble, so :/

im starting to see a pattern here. when I finally get a good girl, her shitty ex partners cause me aggravation. I guess for every good thing theres a bad to balance it out is correct. I always get this stupid shit thrown my way, and I always end up doing something fucking stupid and getting myself into even more shit. Im going to try to break the cycle and stay in my house for a couple of days and cut out any risk of seeing him again and wanting to rape his face.

Never ever believe one persons side of an argument, I would say there is a lot more to this than meets the eye mate. Granted her ex might be a twat, but does it not strike you as odd he would go off like that in front of his new girl?Or that history seems to be repeating itself with a similar pattern regarding ex's? Difficult situation, of course you must side with your girl but keep an open mind.

Well, you did the right thing.

But i also would feel like a fail for not turning his face into a bloody pulp. You can always ambush him with a potato bag, cover him with the bag and beat the SHIT out of that fucking little prick.

@gem

Ignore the dude and if he keeps harassing you and your gf....restraining order. Got one myself on Monday on an ex gf (not ex wife).

Best way of shutting someone up is by not allowing them to get under your skin.

Just report it to the police, then if it does boil over you have a record of his abuse.

That, and get his email and sign him up to loads and loads of spam.
