Anyone excited for this game? A few people have it already uploading some of the song charts to youtube and it looks great. Also the animations seem to have been completely redone and it looks a hell of a lot better than GH:WT.

Good enough? Btw I completely agree with you about the dlc, rock band's dlc is much better. Rock band in general is so much better (to me). I'm still excited about some of the bands in GH5, such as A Perfect Circle, Brand New, etc.

Not to get the thread to off topic but the RBN does look completely awesome. It would almost be worth it to pay $100 for XNA access to demo songs from other people.

it just seems rock band beats gh to the punch all the time,mind you i prefer the world tour drums although neither have provided anything like a good enough pedal

I like the GH drums, but it just sucks using them to go back and forth between RB and GH. I got the ion drums a few months ago and absolutely love them, and have a roland kick trigger coming in tomorrow so I can use a DW 7000 pedal Smile

Saw a few videos of the Ion drum on youtube and fell in love with it. Went ot the store to buy it, my love got crushed when i saw the price...400$ + taxes, so i had to settle for RB2 drum Rolling Eyes

Nothing wrong with that....I used the RB2 drums for months before I got the ions. I read that a new version of the ions without the cymbals are coming out later this year for a lower price so maybe that'll work out better for you if you ever decide to upgrade.

i have to say the slide bar is quite nice for tapping instead of strumming for some crazy parts and the buttons on my GH metallica guitar feel a bit better, plus the strum bar squeaks less (both probably only due to variations in production quality), but that's it.
except if you can get a good deal on a new guitar and/or need another one, i wouldn't upgrade either.

Still being upped. Just one guy so ETA is 15 hours
Maybe he can find some other guys to help the upload.
Also, if some scene group lay their hands on a retail copy and start distribution via the faster/usual ways would be great.
One thing is for sure: gonna rock the plastic out of my controllers this weekend with some friends

Why do people always start barking on the scene if p2p release is out before the scene? Scene released 1000s of games over the years and on one seems to be grateful for that, but once p2p shits out 2 games everyone starts going crazy and acting like p2p releases are second coming of Jesus.

<offtopic>
i don't want to start a discussion: just to state that you never heard me say that i was ungrateful for the scene releases neither was i praising p2p.
as far as i know, the scene is a race. xbox360 scene, which does not require any special skills to be a part of, is reduced to a race between the groups with better connections.
groups are supposed to be on top of these thing. i just find it odd how many titles get released before the *supposed guys with better connections* can lay their hands on a retail copy.
</offtopic>

now lets get back to topic: GH5
