Anybody else notice that there seems to be a ton of vcd releases, but hardly any svcd's. Or it takes weeks and weeks for the svcd's to be released. Hell, not more then a few months ago when there was a new release, it would go to vcd almost immediately, then a few days after that it would go to svcd, now it takes forever for svcd's to release. Any ideas why? I mean how many times in the last month or so have you seen releases by MaVen or VideoCD groups? Not as many as in the past thats for sure.

A telesync/vhscreener/cam cant be ripped to svcd. Afaik groups do encode it in to svcd formats, but it gets released under vcd caus that are the scene rules.

DVD Sources (screener or retail) can be ripped into svcd and normally they are.

TS/CAM = vcd only
Annything with a dvd source will be ripped into svcd/xvid/dvdr
