Finally got around to playing the demo yesterday, very cool stuff....

I really like how they did the menus, makes you feel like your an actual rally racer hehe. Gameplay, I thought was decent enough, nothing really that spectacular (thats when GT5 comes out).

Either way, cool stuff. Will be picking this one up when its released.

Don't know much about GT5, but rally in GT4 was pretty crap.

Demo wasnt bad at all... feels more like a RSC game then before which is a good thing. Damn it, i wish DICE would come out with a new Rallisport Challenge game.. i loved those two rally games so much... i cant even imagine what they would look like on current systems or on DICE's new upcoming graphics engine which looks incredible.

Hopefully we will get a early rls of this game soon, never understood the fakers, its pathetic as online cheaters..makes absolutely no sense...

in dirt1, you could at least skip most of the shitty non-rally/hillclimb races, doubt that will be possible now when they make up more than 80% of the career content Evil or Very Mad

Well i think they were talking about just about solo point2point races only... rallisport challenge didnt have any solo races did they? I cant remember..but i do know the majority of RSC races were vs other CPU drivers...which i think is what codemasters is inching closer towards.. more of a RSC type game and less on the hardcore sim rally stuff..which i could careless about... i was a HUGE fan of RSC..so Dirt2 will be my cup of tea..yeah i know some wont like this but you know that old saying, "you cant please everyone"

I play Rallisport Challlenge 2 every few days to get my point 2 point racing fix. I don't know much about RSC1, but RSC2 is almost entirely about solo racing (point2point, hillclimb). It has crossover and ice racing too, but solo rallying is majority. Hardest difficulty career has only rally racing, you can't even restart stages so if you do bad in one stage you are screwed Smile

Man I love Rallisport Challlenge 2, it's probably my favorite rally game (even better than DiRT1). It has amazing tracks, different weather (rain, fog, heavy rain, snow), great handling, great graphics and constant 60fps, great sense of speed, etc etc. Everything is great in that game Very Happy

I played the demo, does not impress me much. Well, it looks good, but if I didn't know it's 2 I would have thought it is DiRT 1. Even on more realistic settings the game is totally arcade, you don't even have to brake often. I hoped rather for something like Colin McRae Rally, I don't like this trucks, hillclimbing, buggies etc.

Really, I didnt think the controls/physcis was anything near Dirt 1. In the demo you drifted like a madman not anywhere close to Dirt 1.
It could have been the car I guess but I hope its not that "drifty" in general.
Still it will probably be a great game.
And as others have already stated bring on another RSC as that game rocks.

Thx for the heads up on that review, this game is looking fantastic..i cant wait any longer..come with the rls already!!

Hopefully and from the looks of it..its gonna be closer to RSC this time around which is my favorite all time rally games..i liked RSC2 even more then the first one..just was amazing and fun to play. I also loved the nite time tracks in how the sign's and poles would illuminate from your headlights so perfectly..that glow on the reflective material on the road side sign's and road side polls was just so perfect..amazing how such a tiny touch made a nice impact on the visual flair of RSC2's nite time races

I agree, next to Richard Burns, Rally Sport Challenge was on of the few 'pure' rally games that was devoted to portraying the sport as it really was.

I think DIRT 3 is gonna take place in a carnival or zoo.

EDIT: Anyone here play V-Rally? Laughing

Who remembers Rally Masters on the pc in 2001? That was also made by the same people who brought us the awesome Rallisport Challenge games (digital Illusions) or (DICE) i should say...

Some fond memories here

By the way, the first time i played this on the pc..my mouth dropped wide open at the visuals lol... now days it looks so dated but damn it was a fun rally racer on the pc...although RSC 1 and 2 is better imho.
