You should try World War II online. It's the only game comparable to, and in some respects, better than ArmA.

Had an account for several years,

My biggest gripes about WW2 Online is the fact that the staff doesn't add the ability to parachute from damaged aircraft or get in and out of vehicles.I understand they don't want every soldier in game driving a tank or plane so then why not limit classes to driving their specific vehicle. Its extremely ridiculous to not be able to get out of a vehicle as a crewman and fight.Even a pilot should be able to bail out and fight his way back home with a pistol and everyone should have the ability to drive the truck. Its also very unrealistic to not be able to pickup captured weapons or even pickup ammo from a fallen comrade.

Also as for as WW2 Online as been around a lot of models need to be redone graphically especially soldiers that man the ATG's and AA.Those buildings also need a lot of work. The textures are very outdated and horrible.

It is great though to see the realistic crew compartments in the tanks and armored cars.

Well after watching those gameplay vids I am really looking forward to this after struggling to enjoy ARMA 2 due to all the bugs, I really wanted it to be good and I'm sure after a few more patches it can be. But Dragon Rising looks like a sweet spot between action and realism to me and I can't wait.

To me it looks like Stalker. Something tells me the game won't be as realistic as Arma2.

Hardcore mode? WTF? Turning off compass and checkpoints turning game hardcore? On vids enemies stands still waiting for head shot. Gfx btw looks nice, but why clouds run so fast? There's no wind looking on trees.

I hope my slightly overclocked e6600 will be enough, since I can play all the "Quad core recommended" games (like Arma2,GTAIV etc.) decently.

I wouldnt worry, it will work fine clocked no doubt, my 3.4ghz still doesnt falter on games yet, regardless if its spec'd apparently for "quad core".

Rediculous marketing bullshit to make sure people dont try and play it on low end machines and then end up whining in forums about it.

IF the game is created to accept proper multi core use and it delivers across them properly with seperation on streamlining certain parts of the game code. Then big up for them cause not enough games right now do this...

Otherwise I wouldnt be concerned about it...

Anyone here who thinks this is the first or potentially the best in genre obviously has zero experience with BIS products and is really missing out because of it.

Of course. I fucking bought ArmA and ArmaA 2 and I fucking want my money back. BIS = no goddamn bugtesting before release and 128432185 patches before game becomes both MP and SP playable.

CM hasn't done that crap before.

I agree with difm to some extent. I played Arma to completion, despite it running like shite and broken missions, then I bought Arma 2 and played it for 5 hours before I thought "Screw this" and got rid. My PC isn't a beast but I can max most games, but noooo not Arma. Coming also from a BF background, I'm hoping this will be a mix of BF2 and Op Flashpoint. That will give it the depth and ease of use most players today seem to be looking for, provided they do it right.
