Hey guys, sorry for this one but I'm new here.

Now I know the rls date isn't today but am I safe if I play this game today offline?

Can't MS see these things and ban me for playing offline?

I am yet to run this through abgx360 but someone else might confirm it.

I would wait until its verified as being properly stealthed. Chances are it will be but you never know. MS won't ban for playing early but they will bad for poor workmanship.

I'll be dl'd in an hour so will know then

Mmm cause I've read an Halo 3 article which said:

That playing offline also isn't safe cause MS can see when what games you've played so I'm not 100% confident :s.

1.HAlo3odst has fucked padding DATA
2.Padding data is not needed to play xbxo360 games , its only there to speed up the reading process from dvd to bump the needed files to the outer ring
3.SO as it was said :
a)no M$ is not psychic
b)they don't collect data
c)Padding data is like RMPS on SECUROM IF ITS FUCKeD you can't run this game
4.Now if you play it they will see this fucked up RMPS on your copy and ban your console thats IT

wait for one thats correctly made with SS and corect padding if you want to play your odst on Live

I have to say, they have done a good job with the presentation - it may be a bit over the top-ish, and targeted mostly on the teenage/early 20's audience - but I think it makes all the menu hopping and downtime between racing a lot less boring. In other games it's almost like, "how fast can I go through the menus to get to the next race".

And this brings me to the whole deal about this not being a real rally game anymore, how it's too much of everything else and so on. Well, to Codemasters defense, it's not called "Colin McRae Rally" anymore, and for a reason! This isn't CMR. It's DiRT. Like it or not. Yes I know "oooh, Captain Obvious", yeah well I'm just talking to those who still don't get that.

BUT! Here's a thing that I don't like - please, drop Colin's name from the title. I know, you probably have a valid license to use his name for your games, for how long i do not know - but come on, he's dead, the game is not purely about real rallying anymore, so why not do him a favor instead of cashing in on his name and fame. Just make it DIRT 2-3-4-whatever, and if you must use his name, go back to the CMR-series.

Back to the game then: The physics have improved alot over Dirt 1, that's for sure, and while it's better, it's still not awesome. But this does a much better job of blending a little bit of realism with the arcade racing that draws so many more players. Both rally fans and casual gamers can enjoy this, wich I'm sure will sell more copies. It just feels like they're going for a broader audience, that's all.

I only reached level 9 yesterday, I was just a bit short on cash from entering the X-Games Europe event, so I need to play some more to really make my mind up. Definately an okay game so far, that looks better than it drives Razz

Thats good to hear for sure, I hated the handling in DIRT. So if I expected it to be that bad, and its better I will probably enjoy this new one with luck Razz

After watching the video review, it looks just like DiRT 1 - that didn't interest me much so I stopped my download...

Completely agree with you Yondaime.
I find the menu's just a time waste. At least start inside the trailer rather than outside. Yeah, they look nice but there's only so many times you can see it without it being repetative.

The voices are annoying as hell as well especially if you use your real name. Just sounds patronizing or as if they're talking to a small, inbred child.

Other things I don't like, you unlock something every time you win anything. And you seem to unlock a lot in one go. Find it kinda takes the value out of things if they reward you for simple tasks. Also, the fact damage doesn't spread across multiple events (becomes especially apparent in series racing like the x games).

The most positive thing though, is despite me moaning for multiple paragraphs, its still really fun to play once your racing. The tracks look lovely especially the battersea course.

If sega made Sega Rally 2010, they'd end up with this. Its very arcadey but fun to play.

I love it. Great gameplay, fantastic graphics (better than Dirt1), no framerate issues and i like the menu's. Well done, worth 9 out of 10!

loving it so far, even though i'm a shitty driver with a controller (got to wait 2 more days for my wheel Sad ). even like the the non-rally events, could be cause they aren't such a damn clusterfuck like in dirt1. gfx are awesome and while the menu sure takes its time till you get to actually race, it gives me that warm fuzzy feeling i didn't have in a game for quite a while Smile

You are a retard. You don't think his family gets a huge fucking check in the mail for the use of his name on this game?

...or rather what's left of his family. besides, mcrae died in his fucking own helicopter, i seriously doubt his wife and daughter need the cash - codemasters is just using his name as a selling point while they've still got the license. don't go calling other ppl retards if neither your own iq is above room temperature nor you've got your facts straight.
