That wasnt my dig, its more about the non universal language stuff.. I guess its revenge for people in mmo's screaming in region chat "fuck off and join your own channels or speak english"
Of course there is the "size" and effort for the demo's etc as well, but still its shitty..
still annoys me that they like to initialy limit interest by localising it...
Russian developer and Russian publisher (Well, eastern European to be more proper.) plus the big PC market in Germany (Again Divinity 2 devs and Venetica devs are German studios with German publishers, same with Sacred 2 and now it's expansion.) and ofcourse the rising interest in games from Russian with success of titles like Stalker and Cryostasis to name some bigger titles.
Hope this works as a sorta decent observation at the current situation and also answers your question.
Same with Xenus 2 / Boiling Point 2 being out in Russian language since a while now and when Stalker Call of Pripyat hits Russia first later this year (With Star-Force probably if that makes you feel better, hehe.) or Risen in Germany at the start of October (Seems the devs are trying for a worldwide launch however, where's that demo by the way.)
EDIT: Perhaps I misunderstood.

No the demo is localized to the country that host the first demo.. i wasnt using localized in the sense of the game is only gonna be in that language, its meant as if i wanted epic! exposure I would damn well make sure that everbody has a chance of being suckered in to buy my product..
Restricting a demo like that may to them think that it breeds rabid dogs champing at the bit for a looksie, but to me (and if there is one that feels this way you can bet others do) it makes me feel they dont give a crap about what they are doing...

Haha, yeah it's a bit wrong and somewhat lazy of me but it's difficult to keep track of every country so I tend to group them together, Russian, American, English, German and Asian respectively unless I'm totally sure about the country the developer or publisher company is located in.
EDIT: And Eastern-European.
(Czech, Poland and some other countries.)
Seems to be lacking when you have played Anno 1404 recently ?
It's completely different to Anno, it's far more focused on individual characters (heroes) and has a heavy fantasy orientation.

Thanks for the link. So I tried the demo... and it is meh
Demo has two missions, first one is the mini tutorial. In the second all hell break lose - your castle starts in a middle of the map surrounded by shit load of monster lairs and in a few seconds waves of monsters start to rush towards.
Good:
- The core game mechanic is the same.
Bad:
- Very low poly objects
- Very blurry textures, some of them are just atrocious
- WOW-alike intermixed with Warcraft 2 kinda look
- Particles effects are lame and bland. Hell this is supposed to be a Fantasy Kingdom Sim, juicy & furry effects are a must The 2D Majesty managed to get that feeling across, Majesty2 haven't
[Graphically wise I expected it to be at least on Settlers 2 10th Anniversary level ]
- It is imposible to put reward flags via mini-map
- Heroes seems to be acting all alike, so rangers, warriors, healers, etc. all fight like berserkers trying to retreat only when they have a tiny fraction of HP left and most of time end up dead. So you constantly need to baby sit them - annoying In 2D Majesty, if my memory serves me well, only barbarians acted like that and rangers were sissies and retreated as soon as they get a few scratches.
Hinterlands isn't anything much at all like Majesty. I guess the only thing in common is the buildings you place, but hinterlands is a lowlwl RPG
Well madam, i beg to differ about the low, in my opinion and the (above) its really addictive game, and an addictive game has always somthing very, very well done (high). Dont get folled by the lack of crysis gfx, that aint what makes a good game. (that alone that is )
