Yes, it's definitely sluggish with AA. But for some reason I'm getting sluggish gameplay even with AA disabled. I'm not getting low fps, but it locks up for a few milliseconds every other second, really annoying.
The game does look better on the PC version, seems to use some sort of bloom/glow effect that isn't present/as good looking as on the console version... Really makes a lot of difference.
*edit* It happens with any graphical setting, I used 800x600 with no AA, no vsync and no anisotropic, it was still the same sluggish performance. It's unplayable that way, so I'll wait until a patch fixes this.
Is it smooth for you lolo without AA?

Another dude with the same problem, he solved it by removing his normal usb keyboard and just using his g15 keyboard. So it seems the game has some problem with some usb devices. o.O According to another guy in that thread, the problem was solved when he unplugged his logitech usb mouse as well. lol
I'll try this now, I have a usb mouse and a keyboard that is connected through a usb blutooth so. |
OMG no way .. the same f***ng thing as Kane & Lynch .. same developer same problem with keyboards and stuff and lags. They don't learn anything from previous mistakes. OMG

Maybe it's the same/slightly modified engine as K&L.

Ugh, game doesn't recognize my 360 controller. Seems it only supports ones made by MS. Some people have said you can fool windows into thinking your knock-off is an official one but refuse to post how. Anyone know anything about that?
I've tried some emulator thing but it doesn't work either.

There is a stuttering problem every few seconds here.
I've read somewhere that it's related to Logitech keyboards, just like in Kane & Lynch.
chill out man, life is beautifull...

Ok figured it out. Don't even need that program. Stupid game just checks a registry value and changing it to match the official 360 controller works perfectly.

Are you gonna mention the registry key, or are you gonna be like the pppl you mentioned earlier ?

It depends on your controller. I just searched for my brand (in this case it's JOYTECH.. so I hit CTRL+F, typed joytech and went to the first one -- what you need to do is go to control panel and Game Controllers and see what it's labelled as there) and found the first key it brought up and replaced it with "XBOX 360 Controller for Windows".
This should work for ANY 360 controller that isn't made by MS. Plus it has the advantage of fooling future games that may restrict it as well.

It's pretty fun if you don't have to have death and murder and porn in your games. Reminds me a lot of Lego games, but in a world like the movie Kung Fu Panda. Controls nice, runs fine on my system and now that the controller is working it plays really well.

I'm not far enough into it to see if it's repetitive but comabt and animations are very fluid. It's a typical brawler type game though. You press attack, maybe jump attack. You get sneak and sneak attacks. Plus Hiro gets 'spirit attacks' that he can do every now and then. Lots of tools like shuriken to throw. You can even fish and stock up food to regen health if needed.
And other ninjas you can play have different attack styles as well. So yeah, it's not nearly as shallow as lot of shit.

controls are pretty good, it's great fun turning into a bunny or a dog and running around, awesome funs yo.
audio doesnt work for me tho, must be my drivers or something, shitty kx project.
graphics are somewhat similar to wind waker, I just wish the game would have some kind of soul, it just feels so lifeless and barren.

Anyone else experience a freeze on exit? The game stops responding for some reason...

I read that, while combat tends to be pretty repetitive, it can be interesting to play it stealthily and try and find a way to make it through the level unseen, without killing anyone.
I'll try the sneaky way, but using sneak attacks in moderation and frontal combat only when completely necessary (i.e. when I screw up).
