Well this game wasn't hyped as much as the first one but still I kinda agree with you. There are just so many mind numbingly bad decisions made in the game. Combat is very fun an that's the only thing that drives me forward.

Just finished the game as well as almost all side quests. It was pretty enjoyable, but instead of adding stupid stuff like sex and condoms to the game they should have focused on balancing out the combat and making game longer with better story.

I wish I had waited back in the day... I loved Fable 2 so I ended up buying the frozen area or whatever, but did not buy the seeing in the future one.
Not sure if it's worth snagging the whole release over again though...

I actually bought both the DLC packs (Knothole Island and See The Future) -- but didn't get chance to play through them as my 360 died >_<
Come on Lionhead, you smarmy yet awesome goits, release the PC version already!!

Can I continue with my saved game or will I have to create a new game to play the Knothole Island. Im not sure how DLCs work exactly.

you can't even continue a game, when you insert falbe 2 goty , you have to create a new hero and play from the beginning
for me ,it's good coz i wanted to start the game again, but if someone wanted to play only new levels , so .... it sux

Wow, can't believe they went this route, pretty dumb.
I LOVE F2, especially playing with my friends in co-op BUT the save system in this game had problems on 360 from day 1. My ENTIRE 11 hour save game got corrupted week 2 and i had to start over again, I later read on some forum of other people having this exact problem.
But I'm d/ling this again b/c of the packs. Had to redownload it twice because stupid newsbin auto-unrared the rars and deleted them before I got the missing 65,66,67 rars
Oh well, it's a beautiful game none the less especially on 120" projector screen and 1080p & surround sound. You really melt into the game. (i hated the condoms/sex thing thought, stop trying to make this game bad-ass or more hollywooded, just makes it that much emptier and sillier, I mean common, RUBBER LATEX CONDOMS IN MEDIEVAL TIMES??? WTF were they smoking?? But Moleneux is French so it figures).

Nice, what release of original Fable2 did you use? Was it Fable_2_USA_XBOX360-STRANGE ?
Maybe that explains why saves work for you and for othes they don't, because GOTY is also USA/RF version.

If you want games rendered in real 1920x1080 res time to invest in a gaming PC. Consoles can barely do 720p.

Just want to clarify something; I have "Fable 2 GOTY READNFO XBOX360-WARG" and it works perfectly with my Fable 2 saved games from last year. It even has all my achievements and everything
Originally I used to play "Fable 2 USA XBOX360-STRANGE" which I think was the collector's edition. So yes if you have the STRANGE release, your saved games should work perfectly with "Fable 2 GOTY READNFO XBOX360-WARG"
I just inserted the GOTY disc today and it plays exactly like my other fable2 disc except now I can visit Knothole island and stuff with my character which makes me very happy

indeed, the reason the hardware in consoles doesn't need to be that great is because you don't have to think about software like with PC games. But well... doesn't seem like ms and sony cares much about competing with the best HW either :/ It could without a doubt have been much better... lazy fuckers -.-
