In addition I have this annoying speed bug where the whole game is at 1.5x speed, so that makes it even worse....

Of course it's better, in the sense that it has more options. However, the +10 caused my game to crash (tried it several times), whereas Razors did not. Also, h4x0rs +10 requires a specific version of Xlive - Razors works with any version. If the +10 however works fine for you, of course you should use it. Smile

Use the Razor one to disable Live, then use the options from the +10, works wonders. The crashing is cheat protection of GFWL.

Driving is better than Saints Row 2 but worse than almost every other open-world game with vehicles. Like most people mentioned, the destruction is the only edge this game has compared to other third person "action adventures". That would be enjoyable if it didn't turn your game into a slideshow whenever you take out something.

Time to upgrade maxie? The only time it went below 25fps here is when I detonated MOAB on a bridge, and that is with low-mid end pc.

It has nothing to do with ePenis size, thank you very much. People with i7s are getting the same shit happen to them.

This game is pretty ridiculous...such poor vehicle control in a game where you seem to spend most of your time driving seems really stupid to me. Endlessly respawning enemies...shitty idea. This game consists of one strategy: shoot, run, shoot, run. There's no real planning involved, and it would have been nice if there was some kind of stealth factor so you could actually sneak up on a base and blow it up. As it is, as soon as you get close you get fired on pretty much no matter what. And for me, in an intense firefight with lots of enemies the performance drops dramatically and makes it a lot more difficult to battle them.

On the 360 version, if you enable those codes - you can't save and you lose achievements.

Thanks, but no thanks Razz

After you enable cheats you can just load back the save and do your achievements, and savegame is turned off so it won't save over your "legit" autosave.

Bullshit.

The "HARDHITTER" cheat doesn't allow you to save.

AFAIK the code for golden hammer isn't a cheat, but a preorder code or something, the hammer has no gameplay value whatsoever, it's just a golden hammer.

Exactly, I've got an E6600 overclocked and 4gb ram, xp and an XFX 8800gts, also overclocked. It's not high-end but definitely mid-end, and this is the only game giving me slowdown on med/high settings (that is, when "physics" kick in, although havok seems to have an odd notion of gravity and imbalanced structures Laughing ). Many times have I completely destroyed every pillar with maybe some wall supporting the entire building, yet it still stands...

I know for a fact its the cause of the "speed up". Two guys I've talked to have thrown it on Vista and it works fine.

I only notice a slight, and I mean slight, fps dip just at moment building has collapsed and the dust rises. Otherwise it's a constant framerate.

The game runs fine enough it seems for me, i notice in the menu if u go to the options where you see that chevron scrolling at bottom, it has pauses when it moves.. so there IS something causing interuption here.. and its annoying yes..

Ingame all is smooth, until you get really mad with mass destruction then it has this strange feel that again im betting is a repeating hicup of data streaming...

all the other gfx stuff like lighting etc is all smooth and fine when running about etc etc..

Hopefully it will get iron'd out as it seems a fun little game for the most part..

I'm not going to mess with trainers man - besides, I use my numpad for other mappings.
I'm all the fuck out of ideas now if you guys aren't getting any issues with Win7...guess I'm just not meant to play

goto love the support file on RF

Quote:
B. The sound stutters while playing
Make sure you have the latest drivers for your sound card. If stuttering
persists try reducing Hardware Acceleration. From your Windows(R) desktop,
click Start, then Run, type "dxdiag", then hit Enter. This brings up the
"DirectX(R) Diagnostic Tool". Click the Sound tab and try reducing the
"Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" slider.

do they think everybody is still using windows xp or something?
