So tried it. performance is satisfactory for me at highest settings without AA - and that at twice the normal game speed Cool Face
I even got the sound issues, but those are actually kinda fun. Someones tringy to talk to me, but I can barely hear him because it seems there's a parade of giant lawnmowers around or something Laughing

Interestingly i only get the speedup in the story mode, that DLC mode (it is a DLC mode right) works fine. What gives?

Well, since i dont think ill have any fun with this game, i'll wish you best of luck!

\\EDIT
almost forgot to mention. My TV said the input was 1080i ! That shouldn't have been the case according to the settings, so maybe there's yet another problem with this game Razz

Try changing your speaker configuration to two speaker stereo...that fixed the sound issue for me, of course no 5.1 quality unfortunately.

The super gauss gun from the DLC is easily the best weapon in the game, it's just a shame you only get it after you complete the campaign. Crying or Very sad

I really liked that gun as well and the missile pod, didn't know they were specific to the DLC though in a FAQ I read recently the DLC supposedly adds 11 new weapons so I guess most of the weapons from it are DLC exclusive although some like the shotgun and halberd turn up in the main campaign as well, unsure if the halberd is wieldable though.
(The gauss and missile pod, along with the sawblade launcher look just like EDF weapons and the homebuilt guns from the Red Faction upgrade shop.)

There's a halbred type weapon called a Gutter that you can indeed pickup.

Interesting, was fun to wield though I guess it's as limited as it is in the DLC, bit unique as a melee weapon but the hammer works just fine though I guess the halberd has better reach.
(Though it's better to use the limited slots for proper weapons.)

EDIT: Wonder if the MP exclusive hammers can be hacked into SP with a bit of unpacking and file editing, would be fun.
(Gold hammer is nice and all but it's just so ugly, haha.)

Okay, I've seen this question come up a number of times and nobody has provided an answer yet that I can see and I am having the same issue so I'll ask this time.

Saving the game. Yes, I know you need to create an offline GFWL account in order to save. I've created three of them and signed in offline and no matter what I do the Save and Load options remain grayed out. As far as I can tell most everyone else can just make the offline account and have no problems.

Does anyone have any ideas why it might not be working even when signed in offline? I would really, really like to save the game. It runs flawlessly for me and I want to play it!

EDIT:

Ah hah! Nevermind, looks like I figured it out. It seems my version of GFWL was a bit old, back from when GTA IV came out. I ran the setup for GFWL included in the Red Faction game folder and it seems to have updated GFWL. Everything works great now! Hope this solves anyone elses save issues.

My game too got this annoying speed-up bug. Won't bother with this game until there is a solution for it. Drivers are all up-to-date, using the trainer has no effect at all whatever speed setting i try. Could it be, all of the people that got this problem are using Windows 7/Vista, maybe even 64-bit? A guy on another site wrote that he tried it on the same computer on Windows 7 and Vista (possibly 32-bit?) and the problems occured only on Windows 7.

Try setting compatibility mode then, first to Vista SP2 and if that doesn't work try XP SP3, shouldn't really change anything as such aside from the program thinking it runs on a different OS but it might be worth trying in case there are problems with OS compatibility.

EDIT: Fixed some spelling errors.

EDIT: Don't think I have the speed bug though and I use Windows 7 x64, need to test a bit more

Good idea, tried that but still the same. Maybe someone that got this bug has 7 and Vista 32-bit, or 7 and XP already installed and can test this theory.

Oh wow, I thought performance wasn't too bad until I started taking a larger building down in a DLC with that new rapid exploding weapon thingy. FPS dropped to single digits Shocked

Anyone find aiming next to impossible during the ride along missions? Might be my mouse calibration but I can't hit a damn thing by manually aiming, instead I have to wait for my crosshair to pass the target and fire based on timing.

Yes mouse aim is messed up with stationary weapons, using game pad solves the problem.

Yes, the game slows down when buildings explode but it's not really anything to be concerned about.
I'm having lots of fun playing.

Running W7 RTM 32bit 190.62 Forceware on a GTX260 and C2D.having the same speed up issue, my Son is running XP SP3 with absolutely no speed up issues in his room. Tomorrow will test on my dual boot with Vista and test it out and see if I get the same results. Really frustrated as i am soooo keen on playing this. Sad

Red Faction: Guerrilla Unlockable

Under Options, choose "Extras" and select "Enter Code." Enter the codes below for the desired effect:

* MAPMAYHEM - Bonus multiplayer map pack
* HARDHITTER - Golden Sledgehammer for single-player use

Easy healing
When your health is low during any mission, enter any vehicle for a few seconds. Once you get out of the vehicle, your health/shield will be completely healed. This works anytime, and you cannot die while getting into a vehicle.

Just as a note it seems you need to enter them every time you start the game, unless the little LIVE window is just repeating the same message.
(Unlock codes for Section 8 worked the same way but there they stay unlocked, odd. Confused )

The developers have said that both Crossfire and SLI is being taken advantage of but I guess any larger performance gains will require the drivers to be updated a bit as well for proper scaling, Catalyst 9.9 doesn't seem to include a Red Faction profile, can't say anything about NVIDIA but if it's not in any of the recent drivers it'll probably be added soon, perhaps next beta release or the SLI update pack from EVGA.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_multigpu_SLI_profile_update_v2.html
http://www.evga.com/articles/00463/

EDIT: ATI 9.9 has support for Batman (Unsure about forced AA however.) still checking.
EDIT: And RE5 (DX9) along with some upcoming titles like Saboteur, Supreme Commandeer 2, Repulic Heroes, All Points Bulletin and they finally have a profile for Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods (Different EXE name compared to G3.)
