Was impressed with the FIFA demo. It's a very subtle improvement actually, but everything seems to flow a lot better from cut-scenes to animations. Not anything drastic, but I'm looking forward to playing the full version. Maybe disappointed that it looks to have a lot of leftovers from previous titles still in there... but until PES ups its game can't really complain.

Im loving the demo of FIFA. No more ball sticking to feet, loads of little scraps for the ball, improved shooting and some nice added animations. Also a lot slower and no charging down the wing. Also Manual controls are now better due to the 360 movement. Quality..Just have to wait and see if PEs can compete but it will be hard to beat this. Also just read on the EA forums there are 3 more builds since this demo was made so should be even better on release.

You can adjust the speed in settings, it's on normal by default but I like it on fast. As for same shit in new coating.... it's definitely the same shit (and your mileage may vary as to whether that's a good thing or bad thing) but it's not in a new coating... because it's the same menus and everything. That's the thing I don't really like about it, everything is very samey. A new fresh approach would be good but I guess it'd be a waste of development time as well so can't really complain too much Very Happy

Really looking forward to Fifa 10. Played the demo and once again they increased the speed. Not sure if I like it, takes some time to get used to. I do like that players are quicker with the passing etc. Have just played a little bit but hope that shooting from outside the box is even worth it this time around. Goalies are way too good in 09. Will be interesting to see what PES brings to the table this year, but last years arcade direction does not seem promising.

Used to love the NHL games, but they are so far from the real thing I don't enjoy playing them anymore.

Fifa 09 was weird I'm glad they made changes, shooting from distance is much better I hear, referee was to harsh in 09 you could get 2 yellows quickly meanning it's a red card and you are a player down, maybe this year Ea will do it right, well there is a first time for everything.

It's hard to take their games seriously if they don't include a practice mode ala pes5 and pes6, it means they are not simulation but arcadish, in Pes you had to spend more time in practice mode than on the pitch until you learned all the moves.

Yea it is NHL 10...rumors probably started because of the nfo file, which has NHL 2k10 as release name + other info.

Well yea. A practice mode would be nice for sure. Too bad it was the only thing PES had going for it last year. It was way too arcade like for my taste.

I see all the moves are listed in the menu now anyways in the fifa 10 demo, always a start. Rolling Eyes

Gave NHL 10 a try and loving it so far. Sure, it's not too different from last year's but since 09 was amazing, that's hardly a problem. I like the additions of the board play and the first-person fighting is neat, but nothing overly exciting. The passes aren't as accurate as last year but I find that an improvement since last year they seemed to be perfect 100% of the time unless you got someone right in the way. It doesn't always work in real life (perfect passes), so why should it here? Graphics are improved, but it's nothing substantial, just nicer. Overall though, loving it.

tried NBA Live 10 demo, meh... graphics are nice, player control is nice (except shooting), however still feels very plastics and defense is non existant
