I use rockets all the time tbh, the machine gun is shite.

Game got a whole lot less frustrating when i managed to figure out by using custom control type one can use mouse+KB in addition to the pad. So now I just pick up the pad every time I get into a vehicle and it's a whole different game now

Make sure you do the shotgun missions immediately when you arrive in a new sector, because if you do them last and you destroy most of the EDF during other mission you may run out of high paying targets.

Hi I am new to this forum but I have the following issue. Save do not work. I do like it was written. I assume the account on-line at GFWL. I start the game shows a message that Con Saving ... and there is a problem. For nothing in the world does not see the game save files. And any, are created in the directory with Save. Any advice?

Welcome.I have the same problem and no solution so far.Tried everything.Can't figure what's wrong and this game refuses to see the saves.

I believe Gears of War was GFWL, it deleted all my saves after I completed half the game.
Try and google gfwl save problems.

It's RFG game ralated problem.RE5 and Batman saves work with the same profile.

Anyone having performance issues, or like me = freezes and lockups and stuff, and you use ATI.. I fixed all my problems by cleaning my drivers and rolling back to 9.8. 9.9 is horrible for the game. Performance was decent, but I'd get freezes for no reason. 9.8 has increased performance and no hang ups, no stutters, nothing. Everything fully maxed out, even 8xAA. No slowdowns during destruction either. Looks like Catalyst 9.9 is a total bust.

Has anyone gotten this working with Hamachi over LAN?
I've tried Hamachi2, Hamachi 1.0.1.5 and 1.0.1.2.
Went into the adapter settings of hamachi and set the default gateway to 5.0.0.1.
Disabled IPv6, Made sure Hamachi is the primary adapter, ticked "Automatic Metric", set the gateway to automatic.
Made sure the other person did it aswell, but still can't see each others games.
Can ping each other fine too.

it's a games for windows live game, MS made it so if you want to lan you have to have a min latency which is that of what you would have if you guys were really lanning.
you'll have to "hack" live into thinking you have the right latency.

It's all very random. One time I run it, and it flickers like crazy (need to alt-tab) then stutters like a motherfucker. Other times it runs fluidly without stuttering at all (here and there there are hick-ups when going into new areas).
But I have uninstalled this, it's just a boring game.

No problems here, playing DLC bonus missions (finished main game on 360) and having lots of fun. It's just too much fun going around doing random stuff with various weapons. I have some slow downs when huge buildings are going down, but nothing serious. No speed up. no stuttering, no lock ups.

Basically it's mostly speed ups for nVidia guys and stutters for ATI. Bad port, that's what it is.

I'm in Oasis now and slowdown at huge destruction has gotten a little bit worse.
Out of curiosity I tried the Dx10 version in Win7, the performance is basically the same (without SSAO) but I also got the speed up issue. The guy is running twice as fast!
I also encountered the car speeding up issue on XP (not only mine but also AI cars), but it happened rarely and rather seemed like a bug to me.

I wonder what the second piece of the puzzle is? Myself and metric fuckton of other people seem to pin it on Win7, yet there are those few on here (Glottis I think you were one) that said they had no issues on Win7.
What card are you using Shocktrooper?
I wonder if:
Win7+NVidia = Speedup issue
Win7+ATI = No issues
???

Try updating you G4WL with the one included on disc.

Are you running crossfire? I also get the flickering with a 4870X2. Pretty sure it's a driver issue.
The farther I get in this game the more frequent the bugs appear. Flickering happens every 3rd load and random lock ups every constantly. Fuck this until a fix/patch is found.
