This game is getting ever so more annoying, even in sectors where you reduce edf to a minimum they just keep coming until there is hundreds of them, overrated game imo.

Isn't there any way to stop reinforcements from coming like locust?

This.

There's no reason to play at higher difficulty levels unless you actually WANT the challenge. All achievements are available on easier difficulty - and you don't get the aggravation of ass-rape either Wink

I agree it's stupid as fuck. Non stop waves of EDF gives you no opportunity to do the task at hand. The only way I manage to destroy designated buildings is just firing shit all over the place to hopefully hit the EDF and target building. You kill the reinforcements and as soon as you turn around an EDF solider rolls up in a armored car and starts blasting the back of your head with the turret on top.

It's a mess. I mentioned this crap a few pages back. I have no idea what they were thinking designing the game like this.

Same prob here, using 2x4870x2. I think it is the catalyst 9.9 drivers since I also get this massive flickering sometimes when I first start Mass effect, and never had prob before 9.9.

Amen.

No more sandbox-respawn we need real games, can't wait to finish this and start playing Batman.

I never play on anything hard than "medium" I like a small challenge but if I start getting frustrated...it's not fun anymore, I like enjoying video games, not smacking my keyboard around like it's afucking dog toy.

This type of sandbox games need to be more like Gothic 2 when it comes to spawns. Well, might be as Gothic 3 too, alas I never got around to play that one.

Completed it a short while ago along with the DLC, might keep it for a while and see what happens in terms of upcoming patches and DLC though I don't think there will be much in terms of new content, perhaps a patch for some smaller issues and problems. Smile
(About 10 hours or so, 20 story misisons, 22 guerrilla missions, 240 something crates destroyed along with a unknown amount of signs plus a bit over 200 ore deposits and 6 radio tags, some even from previous game characters.)

Not really much point in doing all collection quests as you only unlock extra cheats and those are pretty pointless as they'll disable achievements and saving so it's mainly just for fooling around a short while (And there's not that much to do after completing the game outside of guerrilla actions to earn more upgrades and bonuses, not much that beats the upgraded rocket launcher and special rifle though, gauss is pretty nice as well and the arc light gun is a tremendous help for convoys and such.)

Decent game all in all, have it on pre-order since a while as well, should unlock on the 18th.
(If nothing else that and the pre-order of RE 5 will yield two new LIVE keys to use for future titles.)

EDIT: Oh right it unlocks the "Insane" difficulty as well but I found hard to be nearly too much once alert levels got up to orange and red due to the massive swarm of enemies.
(Especially later on, gunships, tanks and more along with gauss and sniper troopers and so on, can't even get past a enemy just wielding a hammer at times before they sound the alarm so stealth is pretty much useless. .)

A working savegame requires you to be logged in with atleast a offline account, latest LIVE redist version is also heavily recommended and in the case of Red Faction it might even be required as it's a LIVE 3.0 title.

As for using someone elses save you normally can't as they're locked to your "gamer profile" (Can copy files around to make it somewhat working but it's a cumbersome solution albeit it can help at times.)

If you are logged in and the game autosaves and you can save manually then there's some other issue behind it, if on Vista or W7 with UAC active try right clicking and running the game with full administrator privilegdes, might help.
(Not much else I can think of, bit of a odd problem, clearing out the "cache" of LIVE could work but as was demonstrated it seems to cause you lose current activated titles and might even lock the serial which is a bit of a problem.)

Ok, I managed to get that this is not the problem of GFWL. My friend of mine also has download the game and he sent me copies of his GFWL and save. Interestingly enough all seems to be working for him, whereas for me, not any more. The game is not able to recognize records of my friend’s playing . Any suggestions?

So nobody found a solution to the stuttering/physics issue? Bah... guess I'll have to wait till the 18th, official release day, before the rest of the world whines enough to force Volition to release a patch.

Yeah, you'll get corrupt save. I tried to move my RFG save from my offline profile to my online one I set up with a free GFWL key.. had to delete them and start over QQ.

Roll back to 9.8 hotfix drivers for ATI to greatly increase performance. They work with RE5 too, but regular 9.8 won't work in DX10 with RE5.

Didn't work for me Sad I was *on* 9.8s when I first started playing RFG, I updated to 9.9s to see if that would fix it.

9.9 is horribly broken. I had 9.8, upgraded then cleaned them and went back to 9.8 hotfix version. All settings maxed, 4x AA and DX10 crap ON and it runs pretty smooth.

I'm starting to wonder if something isn't borked with my hardware, to be honest - because I can't be the ONLY person to be getting that horrific pausing/stuttering/frameloss during heavy physics. It's just not possible. Ergo; hardware issue.

Other people were getting it to, with ATi and 9.9. Lots fixed it by rolling back.
