No they swore off overly intrusive DRM like most DRM is nowadays. GOO is suppost to be far less intrusive. Time will tell, I guess Smile

So far so good.
If you liked the demo, you will like the game.

Might be just me, but the Hero AI seems better. The Rangers go off exploring on their own more than they seemed to do in the demo and my guys seem to be fleeing better.
Time will tell though. i'm still very early in.

Yeah I'm waiting for an illegal version before eventually buying it, theres just too many unknowns with this one.
Besides the old one was very good, some big shoes the successor have to fill. And I fear any fantasy game that comes out of mother russia at the moment, will end up with WoW looking models.

That was actually pretty clever!

Is the game any good so far? The IGN reviewer kept bitching about uneven difficulty in the campaign. I might give this a go, although I suck at RTS (non-traditional as this may be).

I must say the first one was somehow better, prolly because there are no random maps anymore.

Simple protection, already cracked by Skidrow, and no cd-key or anything -- online works too, as long as you have a Gamespy account Wink

Kinda dissapointed. No sandbox, sudden jump in difficulty on the campaign, only half a dozen single missions, etc. At least the AI seem good, rangers, clerics and thiefs really do cower from battles if they have no backup (it's common to see their portraits with white flags even on high health) and warriors rush in headlong.

One thing I dislike about the game, is that your heroes don't help each other while in a fight. Atleast not while attacking a den.

I'm glad I didn't buy this game, it's so bland and without any charm at all. It's hard to distinguish one hero from the other, or a building from the environment.
This game is without soul.

I'd much rather play the original, and I am in fact doing so in a window atm
Also no random map generator?!

Yea i agree with you, would have been real nice if the heroes where much more unique, maybe unique skills etc.

After a while the town you have is 90% heroes running around, would be nice to se more houses etc.

Il say as someone did before, this system of command with Anno 1404 build depth... would be total awesome Smile

But i still like the game, it seems like it can offer a challenge now and then, and in those missions you really need to adapt your build and that's rewarding when you manage to win. That one of the biggest problem for me in "modern" gaming, its to fucking easy. No pain no gain Smile

There's a lotta pain goin' around in this game but it's also rewarding in the e-pen0r department once you win a game.

I love it, looks very colorful and runs very well.
