The game runs like a dream on my 4850 x2...

Too bad gay Kaspersky keeps reporting a .dll as a trojan and I cannot add it to a safelist somehow. UCK.

ATI and Catalyst 9.8 and no problems... using Vista 64.

Game runs silky smooth with everything set to the max. If you are 9.9 roll back. They are worthless and give low performance in many games.

Look at all the retards here:

http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=279&threadid=118976

"This is not an Ati issue! EA does it again! They need some programers."

"I think Ea coz they s*** at programing"

"that got to be because Shift is defaultly PhysX on, every game I played with PhysX on Sucks! I haven't known how to close that yet, but ATI really need to fix that PhysX problem. Where is the hell the new OpenCl driver, ATI?"
"This is not ati`s fault!"

Can you spell "R-E-T-A-R-D-S"?

And also, to all the "it runs like a dream", either stop trolling, or get better dreams -> 12 is a nightmare, not a dream.

well on 1280x1024, all settings on high except shadows on medium, 2xAA -> works great, looks great -> fps: min 40, max 60, NO shuttering, NO lag ...
on the other hand.. loading times are loooooong, lack of multicore support maybe? and the game crashed a few times Smile

I have that with alot of games of late,,, i monitor my ati overdrive stuff and sometimes im playing a high end game even if its well it seems, and the gpu use is like 47% lol im like wtf? shouldnt it be blasting out at 99% to its full potential, but then agian maybe its strong enough and it really does only need that amount off it..

C2D E6600 @ 3.3 and 4870X2.

Moose, the point was that it doesn't use all resources available, so it's clearly something wrong. I don't care if RE5 doesn't use all resources if I get constant 60fps. Smile

cause with driver issues on ati's dual gpu cards of late some games have been fucked unless u turn off AI, or add commands to end of your shortcut targets line...

arma2 is one of those that has issues like that.. it was worth a try if you havent thats all Very Happy

turning off ai in effect i believe puts ur card into single mode.

Yes, it does, but ATI problems are universal, not limited just to Crossfire with this game.

It's interesting, but both GPU cores were in use in the test, so it does use them both (both under 100% of course).

Having a problem. Installed it, copied the files from the Crack dir to the main game folder. Run the exe, get the Need for Speed Shift text with an orange loading bar below it. Loading bars fills up, screen turns black, and that's it. Have to ctrl-alt-del out. Anyone know of a way to fix this?

For fuck's sake, the drifting is frustrating! Every game that had Drift in it so far had those special drift physics that made it so easy to drift, first NFS, then GRID too. Shift seems as if they've not done much to change the physics during drifting, and it's a bitch to properly drift around any corner, let alone master any track and come in 1st place (playing in Pro/Hard).

It'll talke lots and lots of practicing.

OK - I'm a bit of a nooblet in this regard - so help me out here. I finally bought an x360 controller so I could play this with analog triggers for acceleration and brake. However, when I go to map them under Preset 3, they simply show up as Trigger 1 and Trigger 2. In the windows controller setup they show up as Z Axis when I press them - however the game recognizes them as buttons and not pressure sensitive axis'.

What am I doing wrong? Sad

Why select Preset 3? Select Preset 1, which is the standard for Xbox 360 controller.

But I don't want my acceleration and brake to be ON and OFF. If I wanted on and off I could have stuck with the keyboard or my shitty PS3 controller I jury rigged to work on Win7.

I want the game to use my upper right trigger to accelerate, depending on how hard I press it, and to brake using my upper left trigger, depending on how hard I press it. Windows calibration sees these triggers as Z axes (Z+ and Z- respectively) however the game only sees them as BUTTONS not PRESSURE SENSITIVE ANALOG TRIGGERS.

I don't know if I'm being clear, trying my best to explain it here heh.

This.

Or with any standard dual-analogue controller with the XInput 360 Emulator Very Happy

Immunity, no idea what you're talking about, with Preset 1 ("Standard") and some modifications to the dead-zones, acceleration and braking are sensitive. Confused

I have sensitive triggers in Preset 1. I think I had to remap them. Maybe I did it just to be sure.

And no need for x360 emulator, it supports other gamepads, too, unlike other shitty games *cough* *cough*

I like plug'n'play and using the emulator means no messing about with buttons or mappings, it's all done - right there and then - no messing.
