I like it, this may be the return of Pes.

It BETTER have an extensive practice mode, like the old pes, or else..

What a disappointment.
Overall graphics and lightning are great (except the cartoonish crowd), but the main problem sill remains the gameplay: it's surprisingly unresponsive (actually much more than PES 2009), CPU driven and unsatisfying. I don't know if it's my x360 controller's fault, but I find that passing, dribbling and changing direction are totally messed up; players reaction times are incredibly huge, ruining teamplay and favouring solo actions. And what about animations?...there are some improvements here and there, but most of them are still ISS-alike; and the 360 movement? I can't see it anywhere.

x360 controller here too:360 movement is more than obvious and controller works perfectly.
Here and there there's some slow responsiveness but it has to do with the new animations and 2 foot dribbling and ball recieving with the weak foot. It's much more realistic to me and takes away the pinball pes2009 passing.I like it so far. It's better than i expected.

Extactly, and its all about timing.
Me likes it too ! Twisted Evil Idea

What an awesome game... ways better than expected. The faces look so realistic. But I'm having a few technical issues like stuttering (even in the menu). The demo seems not well optimised, but this is every year. If this will be fixed in the final then definately one of my GOTY candidates.

So many good games this year...

I'm hoping for a demo hack that will let us play for 45 minutes, really feels like 'old' PES and real football, just feels random not scripted.

I solved my technical issue. It was simple, I only had to disable "Frame Skipping". Don't know what it means. But the game now runs smooooth.

it does what it says. skips frames when your PC can't handle it, hence the stuttering.

It is unplayable for me, meet minimum requirements but that's not enough even for low settings.. Sad

1680x1050 gives me horrible tearing going up the screen, notice it especially when the screen is moving at a constant pace left or right, i can see the frames being drawn at a different rate to my monitors refresh rate.

All other resolutions are fine but they look shitty and don't stretch to fullscreen. I'm sure there was a similar problem last year with the demo.

No Vsync option ? If not, force it in the drivers.

That's the problem, vsync is already forced in the game launcher and i can't untick it, it's keeping the game at a constant fps but not the same hz my monitor is running at, i can see the screen updating in 'waves' about twice every second. Windows seems to have my monitors refresh rate at 59hz, the option of 60hz is there but when i select it and click apply it reverts back to 59hz again, i'm sure this has something to do with it but i can't change it. If i could turn vsync off in the game but force it in the control panel i bet it'll work.

Thx for the time extender link. Liking the game so far, the tempo is ok (really can´t understand how people is complaining in pesfan´s forums about the game being too fast...2009 was a benny hill movie compared to this), and controls feel good though a bit unresponsive, especially shooting the ball. I hope they fix some problems here and there, and this can be the best pes in 3 years, not a revolution for sure, but it looks stunning and feels good overall.

Major problem: I always changed the button layout because I'm playing on the keyboard and I'm used to play with W as sprinting. Now whenever I change the tactics, so that my team plays more offensive, I press Y and E so that my players run towards the enemies goal. But whenever I press Y and if I run at that time, the fucking game activates the "Y" strategy :/
PES 3-09 never did this before.

Konami really did manage to make this game even better than 2009. The gameplay really changed and everything feels better! The graphics look ALOT better and I still achieve more fps than before!

So I'm able to play @ 1024x640 at high quality (with frameskipping) or at medium quality without frameskipping! And that on my 3 year old crappy 7600 go Laughing

I have exactly the same problem. I've tried to reinstall drivers for my 4850, three times, anto nothing worked. But, when I run game windowed, then Vsync works and there is no tearing. My monitor also works at 59hz, dunno why, and i can't change it to 60hz. I can, but it reverts to 59hz.

What windows are you using?
Mine is Windows 7 x64 build 7100

Exactly the same, even using the same 7100 build. Just typing in "windows 7 59hz" in google brings up loads of people with the same problem but from what i can gather, the true refresh rate is being reported as 59.94hz but windows 7 is rounding it down to 59hz even though it's closer to 60hz. If it wasn't for this demo not syncing right i wouldn't have noticed, everything else is working perfectly, even streaming video sites seem to have smoother video in windows 7.

I've solved this problem, kind of.. Very Happy
It's not pretty, but it works Smile
If you're using 1680x1050, then do this:
1. change your desktop resolution, set 1440x900
2. run settings.exe and set 1680x1050, fullscreen and enable vsync
3. run the game
That's it Very Happy
Then, every time you want to play PES without screen tearing, you need to lower your desktop resolution to 1440x900. And, when you quit PES, you need to raise it up again. Yeah, I know it sucks, but hey, it works Very Happy

or
simply install PowerStrip and force refresh to 60.
solved once and for all for all games. Wink

After some 10min matches (max level of difficulty) I can say it's a nice step forward from PES2009. I (partially) got rid of the annoying unresponsiveness disabling vsync and setting the "max frames to render ahead" to zero (thx to Atitray tools) and now the game feels much better. It's still too easy and far from being a simulation but lots of things has been improved and fixed.
There are some serious issues though, like AI defensive behaviour, crazy flying goalkeepers and some wooden animations, but since some players transfers haven't been made yet (X. Alonso is still at Liverpool etc.) I have the reason to think that this demo isn't exactly the latest build we'll have on October 23.

Try to mess around with vsync or frameskipping, enabling them should fix it.
