He's pointing out that you're a hypocrite, since you accused Vikerness of being guilty of exactly what you deride in the first quote.

3.10 to Yuma 8/10

Good enough with an interesting ending, not many westerns out there let alone decent ones.

VERY borderline kids film, but the themes and some the action sequences are definately quite adult... regardless, i did enjoy it. its got a low-budget independent feel, but still very good and better than many big-budget hollywood films.

not a bad movie at all , i wouldnt even call it border line kiddy... kids wouldnt ever know what its really about

Battle for Terra 5/10

Ants in space. Except worse. Incredibly predictable, following the recipe for an average good vs. evil cartoon to the dot. If you can ignore the insufferable yawnfest that is the regurgitated plot, there are some scenes worth the watch (I particularly like the parts when the main character discovers what's outside the forbidden zone).

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

There is Jack Black in it. What did you expect? Wink

I don't think it's his fault. I was really high when I watched this but some of the funniest moments was when he was in center. It was a sloppy sloppy directorial effort and the script was all over the place. It was basically sketch comedy as we know it from Caddyshack just much less funny.

fair enough, was possible to misunderstand that, I guess Wink

I thought he was hilarious in Tropic Thunder, though.

Grace (2009) [1080p] - 8 / 10

Great slow paced horror / triller. Blood, suffering and decay are the main actors here. Highly recommended if you got tired of modern horror flicks that scare you with monsters jumping out of the blue.

Movie has a tiny bit of Pet Sematary in it.

Blood and bone - 5/10

Some black dude knocking out guys left and right in the 'underground' fight scene. His opponents were made to look like pushovers and the fights though well choreographed were not convincing.

KILLAHBEANFOREVAH!!! 6.5/10

ehhhh was really hoping for more... even from a THOROUGHLY independant film... some of the action sequences were really excellent in terms of concept... some of the jokes made me groan though (jet bean.. nooooooooooooo), the dialog was unfortunately a total afterthought, as was voice acting (why though?! dialog costs nothing to write for a solo production) and unfortunately it looked a little cheaper than i was hoping (i guess my expectations were far too high given his awesome second short)... but overall, not a bad way to kill 80 mins, and really, it was a fucking impressive virtually solo effort.

district 9 7.5/10

the last third or so of the movie was damn cool, but its difficult to completely enjoy this as a 'movie'... i didnt appreciate the 'message' that it tried to push about how the prejudice the aliens faced was 'sooo horrible'... i mean they did deserve the level of control placed on them... they werent invited, they were packing weapons and violent to humans, deceptive, destructive, complete lack of respect, unlicensed breeding etc..

that being said, i also appreciate what happened to the dude, so i do understand him basically being a traitor and fucking some shit up... he was pretty damn justified in the end.

but that PC bullshit aside, overall i did enjoy it. best movie of the year? no, but i am looking forward to both blomkamps next film, and also the d9 sequel
