It originally wasn't named Geo-Mod 2.0 (was something like R.E.D. iirc) but guess they changed it for continuity's sake. But yeah, still pretty dumb... Maybe Geo-Mod 3.0 will have the terrain deformation again.

Hey, maybe you could blow out a bay door, fly inside the capital ship and damage it from the inside. Maybe drop some time-delay mines and then gtfo on afterburner, as the whole thing goes KABOOM ! Shocked

We need a cool space shooter damnit !

Not quite exactly the same, but there is a mod for getting the MP weapon, The Reconstructor, into the SP campaign -- so you could just use that, destroy all the buildings you want, then build them back up again Very Happy

Found out how to mod some simple weapon properties, like making an automatic nano rifle, or an assault rifle with explosive bullets. Once we get some proper tools, I think modding will really take off for this game.

Using someone else's save game is tricky with G4WL titles, as they're account locked. There's a full save floating about, but it requires signing into an offline/non-Live account that they created.

Catalyst 8.660 RC7 (aka 9.10 RC7) fixed all my problems. No more 5fps destroying buildings, no stuttering in the main menu or just walking around. Everything pretty much maxxed, except SSAO (it just halves the framerate) and it's comfortably running around 60fps most of the time.

This build was released by MSI, for the new 5xxx. It shows 9.0 on the CCC though Razz

Patch details, seems they're still waiting for Microsoft to authorize the file over LIVE but it's a pretty small patch.
(Some bug fixes and crash fixes, doesn't mention that speed issue though.)

Fucking Microsoft and piece of shit GFWL. Patch was ready on October 9 and we still can't get it. I hope it fixes that sound bug and black screen crash for ATI cards when you try to change display resolution.
