There is talking about the game and then there is 10 pages of BS kiddies complaining about their system not running the damn thing.
Those who might want to know about the game don't want to wade thru 10 pages of crap...and I'm not whining...I'm stating fact so take your flames and turn em off please.

I was kinda busy playing other game, so what's the story with patch 1.1? At first someone claimed that installer is bad and doesn't install Physx properly, but now it's good?

I had problems with the patch, and it turned out to be with physx installation...
I followed a tip from nvidia forums which advised to turn off antivirus before reinstalling physx and now it works fine.

First had the D2D edition with Glide and Save fixed. Worked great, until I got to the second Titan fight (the one where henchman keep coming out of elevators). There (or honestly the room before that) my glide didn't work anymore. There where no more glide points, exept into the floor. So I downloaded the RLD edition + patch 1.1 and contiouned my savegame, but now i'm still stuck at that exact moment, still can't glide there.
Is this a know (downloaded version) bug? Or does this has something to do with a savegame from D2D edition. Who then has a good savegame for about 60% (ingame score)?

Think i might have come across a copy protection trigger...
Spoiler: | Just picked up the batclaw from the batcave and come outside where i have to pull the vent down with it. Done that but now there's no way to get up to the vent, should there be a grapple point there? |

There are always grapple points when you bring down vent covers. Are you using RLD and are did you start a new game with it ?

I tried the original RLD fixed exe and had the 9000 error so just copied over the V2 exe. It's taken me ages trying to find bits of info in this thread as there's so many pages, i've just seen the error can be fixed by adding a c++ re-distributable dll to the game folder so i guess i'll have to start again and do everything properly.

You need the msvcr71.dll and placing it in binaries folder. Search with google for it on the net... it´s a free download.
Hope that helps and I read through it btw, I know it´s a bitch reading through a 100 pages thread ; )

VC++ 2005 and 2005 SP1 I believe (.70 for 2005 and .71 for SP1 version.) redist should be on the disc but might as well get them all and install them in order to be updated, there's also 2008 and 2008 SP1 plus a bugfix for them and 32 and 64 bit versions, 64-bit might be a bit overkill but if you use 64-bit OS then you might as well install them.
(32-bit applications, most games currently released, won't work with the 64-bit runtimes and also the 32-bit runtimes won't work with the 64-bit titles although I can't think of much outside of Hellgate and Crysis/Warhead and perhaps some few other games might have used that option, and only for the addition of more than 2GB of RAM access, 3 GB with a little EXE flag.)
EDIT: They're on Microsofts website by the way, similarly also get the DirectX 2009 August update while you are at it.

completed this today, it was a solid game but dont feel any draw to replay it and challenge mode doesnt entertain me really, replayability I feel is a little lacking.

I honestly wouldn't know how else they could make the game very replayable, the only thing I can think of is maybe more detective work like having to talk to guards to get information about shit, maybe moral decisions, like instead of losing the game if
Spoiler: |
dr. young getting killed by zasz
|
it would just continue the game and how it plays out and affect how you get to that certain part of the game.

even worse, the first time you encounter Zsasz, with the guard and the electric chair lol. In the game, you see like a hundred + dead guards, but THAT ONE COUNTS ! lulz

Overall a very solid game and definitely worthy of all the praise it's recieving from the reviewers.
Still wouldn't pay a nickle for it, though. But that's just me.

about the physics:
there is that physics demo that show's physics on and off. now, i have seen on the video that you can shoot your bat boomerang to the floor and it breake the tiles and make nice mess on the floor
so..if i can't see this effect with physics on, means that my gfx card don't have enough memory so i can see only some of the physics?
this is preety crap lol..first game that doing this shit..dirty trick to make you buy new card.

In the first Zsasz encounter, take him out with a Glide Kick and you will see the tiles break as you slam him into the floor. Its been a while but I think you can also Batarang the tiles to break them up more there as well.

I completed the game. It was awesome. Well, almost.
But the final "boss fight" was rather... hmmm... I'm not saying easy, but errr.. it didn't live up to it?
I mean, the whole game was building up for it and then BAM! nothing.

Oh, crap!
Eidos Interactive announces the Prey in the Darkness Map Pack
http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=96561
So just to clarify - this DLC isn't available on PC, and as far as I know there are no plans to release it on PC. It is only available on PS3 in the US but is available for PS3 and 360 in Europe.
--------------
PC - No DLC
PS3 - Europe and North America
360 - Only Europe, not North America
--------------
can we at least get the reason for this?
I'll get a statement for you as soon as I can. (I wasn't personally involved in the decision or anything so I can't really say myself).
It probably has something to do with Microsoft as it affects US-based Xbox 360 owners too. Maybe they wanted to charge for the DLC and Eidos refused?
And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"
