And here's the interesting thing. She says she went back to Capcom the previous week to record new lines because Capcom plans to release a Director's Cut of Resident Evil 5.
As you might remember, Capcom did the same with RE4 PS2 version. They added a new mode called "Seperate Ways" where the player controlled Ada, in her mission which was parallel to Leon's mission.
I guess this time, we'll control Jill and see how she got in contact with Joss while Chris and Sheva were trying to stop Wesker.
I hope it is released on the PC, or if it's a DLC, it becomes available for the PC too. After all they released Lost Planet a second time with bonus content, so I can't see why they wouldn't want to do it again for RE5.

everytime i try to do mercenaries online theres not one server.
I don't think people have enough patience to wait for someone to join the lobby to start the game. My bet most people are just going solo. I've played a few games with others but most of the time its empty. Though to be honest tribal sheva is just way too easy to play and sort of ruins it anyways.

Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition was just announced. It's exclusive to the PS3 so far, it includes new content (most likely based on Jill) that was asked by the community and the big addition is that it's motion compatible, so you can use the new PS3 wand gadget to play the game. It will be released in Spring and later today Capcom will release a trailer showing the new content.
I think a Xbox 360 / PC version depends on when Project Natal is going to be released and if it's succesfull. Or maybe Sony payed to get exclusive rights.
It's no longer exclusive. The extra episode which was confirmed to be the mission of Chris and Jill to find Wesker, is going to be released as DLC on Xbox 360. So there's the possibility that we'll see it on PC too.
In regards to the Xbox 360, a lot of fans have enjoyed the game on the console. So we are working to release the additional content in another format, as a product.

If there are any enemies and I believe there will be, I bet they are going to be zombies, no more ganados and majini!
The Mansion, the dining room, the traps, Chris, Jill & Wesker, Moonlight Sonata.. come on.. that's like RE1 GC remade with the RE5 engine!! I really really really want this on PC!

I don't really get what this alternative edition is ? Is it just some changes to the original game or all-new adventure ?
Because I'm playing the main adventure coop with a friend and we will finish it soon, should I uninstall the game and forget about it or keep it installed and wait for this ? (I've lost the image btw!)
Is the alternative edition an expansion or a whole new game ?
It'll be released in DLC form for the X360, so we PC gamers might get a similar DLC eventually.
I heard it's a chapter's worth of content, but it should be a bit more than that, like in Fallout 3 DLC packs. However, RE5 is rather short to begin with, so 2 hours of extra content is already a 20% increase compared to the total gametime. Who knows.
has anybody experienced their screens going blank(black) during play with this game? Like the video card wasn't connected to the monitor? If I alt tab to the desktop, the screen comes back and then I can go to the game.
Im going to do a fresh new Windows 7 install. I will back-up my capcom folder. When the new install is fninished of Windows 7 and RE5, will i be able to use my back up save game?

Oh yeah this works i've gone to 7 myself. Just backup /my documents/capcom
And reinstall the game and login with the same live account (the same name the save map has).

Your monitor is going to standby mode due to the mouse being idle, you can turn it off in power management.
"I think, while Resident Evil 4 is a great game, its appeal was limited somewhat to maniac players," Takeuchi said. "With RE5, I wanted to bring the series to a larger audience. I think its important to do the same for the next RE."
That's why I believe that RE6 is going to be a pure action title.
