If you've backuped the original file, you can deleted the cracked one and restore the original, then you can update with the official update, then apply the new crack. Someone also posted couple of pages back the original executable.

Did you try softer sway bars? I upgraded my i135 to level 3 and it started to bounce on SPA. Still handful on Nordschleife after tuning, though I only drove 6km part on the EURO headsup challenge (still saving full track for later).

I dont remember. Must try it again maybe. I also had i135 and I hated it cuz at stage 3 tuning, low and stiff he starts to bounce like a ball. Specially at drift in road america if I remember. O sold it and bought E36, tuned engine to stage1 and voila Smile

just try to complete Carrera GT at SPA. Its impossible !!! At the end of first straight after start line, car starts to bounce and u got no control.

I bought the Porsche just to test it and noticed after, that there was already a Carrera GT race @ Spa.

You mean Eau Rouge corner? http://www.formula1latest.com/wp-content/EauRouge5.jpg
Going too fast there made the car bottom out and lose control and end up in wall on top of the hill.

Other than that I had no trouble with the car in Spa, drove 2:25.xxx on a time trial. Don't know if it's a good time, drove once Smile

----

For the Subaru understeer, it went away after I upgraded suspension to level III too. Level II car with level III handling was bad. Still needs a bit of tuning, already done a lot to get the way I like it. Seems funny as it was so good stock Very Happy

Oh and my retail arrived \o/ No need to save races anymore, although driving slower cars after you've driven faster ones is not so fun Smile

Nope, I mean Lee Combes corner, http://atlasf1.autosport.com/2000/bel/preview/bellap.jpg

Now I try to tune up my 911 GT2 to have fun on Nordschleife but so far I'm only frustrated. he bounce and bounce all over again. Tomorrow I will try again. Now I finished on pretty good netral setup with a bit of understeer but Ill prefer oversteer but not too much.

In Corvette Z06 I got 7:03:xxx on this track WITH opponents and a few little mistakes.

Stock setup was no bounce trouble for that corner in Carrera.

Yeah Nordschleife is quite bumpy in some parts with every kind of corner and top speed required too. Getting a good setup there will be very hard. Last night spend an hour tuning my Subaru for Spa. No matter what I did I couldn't get podium on the tier II race. Even went for works conversion and still lost. Finally after I had tuned everything else, tire pressure came to mind and 2nd Smile

Oversteer is good, prefer more of it before little understeer. Neutral would be the best, then it's just up to you how brave you are on the corners Razz Bad scenario is understeer entering corner and oversteer exiting it, that's seriously not fun setup to drive.

Unpacker and repacker utilities, haven't tested it much but unpacking and editing part of the game data is possible.
(Was trying to get the locked cars unlocked but I only found part of the needed data, should be the Cayman_S_PreOrder vehicle and SomeCarNameIForgot_CokeZero cars, names from the file data table by the way, first one that is, unsure what they're called ingame.)

In Subaru I can win the race at Spa. First I had seroius problems with that but finally I got good setup and i finished 1st then I sold STI. Now I bought it again but cant remember old settings. I think they should add a possibility to save 3 or more setups for EACH car, fix tuning bugs (resetting while going from Quick tuning to Advanced and vice versa).

Also a known community users experienced in programming could help by making an APP witch can read all car settings from profile and save them in text format file as a table or something with nice and proper descriptions Wink

Sorry for my bad english

Hello all,

I had the same problem with bumping on SPA in the invitational event. Somehow it got fixed with the update Smile but bumps are a pain in the a** still on some other tracks. I guess it´s part of the game and have to deal with it.

But playing this with a keyboard was such a pain that I went out and bought a G25.
Prices have come down in my area to 150 €´s and so from the reviews I thought this is the way to go.
And boy how this changed playing NFS Shift, this is so freakin awesome. The G25 is really worth every penny you spent on it. Incredible Force Feedback, it now feels like I can connect to the cars and the track after all.
I love this NFS with the G25 now and it´s so much more fun to play.

I recommend the G25 for NFS Shift, just plug it in let it do it´s thing and you´re ready to go. Even when running cars with the ridiculous default setup I could get some decent lap times. This is a whole different game now Shocked

Like others suggested, heightening the ride helps with the bumping.

And cars you "win" don't go in your garage, I *think* they're unlocked for quickplay/lanplay.

Anyway, raced with the Murcielago (works conversion?) ... holy shit !! My eyeballs dropped to the floor by the speed !!! (it's tier 3 btw)

blur is awesome - well applied motion blur that is.
I love the blur of the view from the side windows, what i dont understnad is the motion blur of the inside of your vehicle... that is just weird.
At first I thought it was an out of focus effect, but no, its connected to the cars speed... i dont think it works this way in reality, but maybe im wrong Smile

Are you sure it is not blurry when your focus is on the road? If you were to look to the left or right it might not be blurry, but this game assumes that your eyes are on the road.
