Any reason why the Risen CLONEDVD-AVENGED release is nowhere to be found? Even on rlslog.net it has come up now, but can't find it using any torrent site and the upload to usenet seems to have stopped.

It's on usenet, I don't know about torrents. You should consider buying the game though if you like it.

its on usenet yes, but I had to go to an advanced search, for some reason the group was not in the normal search params and returned nothing but a half uploaded version

Thanks, and I will definitely buy it if I like it. I loved the Gothic series but the bugs kind of put me off. I will look some more if I can find it on usenet, I'm not having any luck with binsearch.info or newzleech.com. Any tips?

Whats with the discussion about where to find releases? maybe one person mumbling something about usenet as an aside is understandable but most of this page looks more like telling peeps where to find a release. As much as I love warez and believe it is morally reprehensible. nay wrong, to buy a game, I don't debate that shit in here. Same same with whereabouts of items. This board should not expose itself to even more hassles from either the combines or pages of tripe from drongos who couldn't find their own asshole while it was shitting barbed wire, let alone a couple game files by talkin bout that stuff.

I use newsbin/binsearch/yabsearch/nzbsrus/ and many others, I was just using binsearch and they did not show it with a.b.x so I just mentioned it.. That ok with you ?

Boy, that was some rpg series [sigh] |
I can't count the amount of hours I sunk into Ultima VII.. man that game dragged me in like no other.

Richard Garriot was a KING among lesser mortals when he was younger.
Remember the first use of 3d in Underworld?
Awesome, everyone thinks Doom was the first commercial success using 3D, wrong.
They all copied Garriots concepts
Where are those games today?
Bow before them:
Richard Garriott
Steve Aarnio
Sean Barrett
Seamus Blackley
Eric Brosius
Terri Brosius
Wes Carroll
Rich Carlson

*sigh* Memories. Hell, I even loved Ultima IX, flawed as it was. |
IX had a lot of promise but it reflected the way the industry was going, driven by looks and low in content.

The games nice runs well and looks superb, regarding the old discussion on mob difficulty, i killed the first mobs on beach area nd the wolf further up with no problem, u just have to time it right and you can chain your hits almost..
Then the hut later with jan i think it is first guy u meet, there is a single bore there that kicks ass if u let him, but what i did was, i lured it to the hut and let jan help me kill it lol.. worked but yeah rather tough is the timing of fights, not so much killing etc its just getting it right is key for different mob types..
love the game will deff play this one as thorough as I do fallout3..

Letting your escort kill the enemy when you couldn't was the smartest thing in Gothic 2. And it was a great design decision tbh, that's why you have escorts. In most RPG's you team up with someone, yet you still do all the work AND save the guy. Useless.
