Thnx m8, found them allready when reading alot of pages back.. Wink

I have deleted my old install, what is the proper way to get it working from scratch:

install my reloaded mounted image, give my legit key in during install, and after installing 1(.01) copy those files out of your activation rar and then patch it to the latest patch!?

Then it should startup without a crack, or do i have to use clone, with yasu and stuff!?

If you activate online then a mini-image or similar won't be needed at all, just enter the key and if it's activated you can just play. Smile

great, last (silly) question,

During install i can already give in my new key, or better fill in 0's or the key provided in the RLD nfo file, and use my key after installing 1(.01) and your activation files during that online activation, and then patch to latest version?

You should use the same key, what you enter during installation will be what the game uses and if you use all zeroes or a blacklisted key you might (And probably will.) trigger the FADE copy protection "triggers" such as extreme enemy awareness and hit chance, low player hit chance, jerky aim or being turned into a seagull to name some known things.

Dang, doesnt work Rolling Eyes

What i did, mounted the RLD iso, installed it using my just bought key, after installing in put the activation files in my "C:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2" dir, and started it's exe up, secure rom screen says

This software must be activated prior usage. Choosing next it asks me to fill in the key, so i did, after next and some loading the message as mentioned earlier that:

Activation process has been terminated. Please make sure the SERIAL has been entered correctly.

Internal error message: unlock code was revoked Confused

what am i doing wrong, or is the key allready in use?

That error has come up now and again, best to mail the support section of the site you bought it from and talk with them, I'm a but unsure about what the actual message means however.

You could still try the 1.04 patch with the latest beta update, as far as I know the beta patch EXE file isn't protected outside of the FADE protection system so it should work fine as the key was accepted by the game already during installation. Smile

okay, lets try that out, before i go whine at g2play, the key was entered during install, so it was accepted Confused

So i'll patch to 1.04, and then i need the latest beta on top of that?

No dude you can make the game behave fully legit by converting it to the digital download version, e.g you dont need any disc or cracks. As long as you have a key it should work.

Well i patched from 1.03 to 1.04 then put the files needed in Arma 2 dir for secu activation used a legal key and got his:
Activation process has been terminated. Please make sure the SERIAL has been entered correctly.

Press BACK to attempt another activation, click MANUAL ACTIVATION to activate manually or press CANCEL to abort. In case the problem still persists please contact mailto:support@securom.com.

Internal error message: unlock code was revoked

you experienced the exact error i get after online registration, while the key was accepted during install of the game, how did you solve it, was it the key, or....!? Shocked

(only difference is that i did it directly after installing 1(.01) instead of 1.04, and tried that also...)

works great, when i use that shortcut for the beta all works perfect, and i could directly join a server with a lot op players, and it ran a lot better than i was used...

Are there any problems i could encounter using that shortcut instead the games one?
Online i mean, or in co-op, will there be servers that refuse me because of the beta content, the key is accepted and didnt give me hazzle testing that server online...?!

(sorry for my ARMA2 spamming, but i have a day off, and if this works i can get my friends convinced this is a good method for a very nice mp game...)

Beta shortcut just points to the beta EXE so there's no problem using it and you should actually use it or the beta files won't load as they're separate from the main game files. Smile

Yep, figured that out already, the original exe still got the securerom activation problem,
but the shortcut for the beta gets me right in the game, replaced that as the startup icon and tried 5 online servers, all reported me as having modded content, but none kicked me, so i guess it works okay Very Happy

Thnx for your helping, still dont know about that strange error from securerom, but i guess its not needed anymore, i'll just follow this topic (what i did already) and then i'll see you posting the new updates

Is it worth trying, or hardly servers using it? it might be nice during the SP campaign,
checked some youtube movies of it, and it sounded very nice, especially the overflying planes

Havent played the single player so I cant say, but for the most part the MP is ok. On my clans server some missions work quite well while others dont because they either crash the server or lag everyone up.

Good news for ARMA 2 players :
A.C.E. Advanced Combat Environment - Public Beta!

What is A.C.E. and what is it not :

Quote:
A.C.E. for ArmA 2 is a full conversion mod and is based on A.C.E. for ArmA 1, which was based on WGL for OFP.
The WGL roots were "When realism matters". We lifted this already a little bit with A.C.E. 1.
And with A.C.E. 2 it is no different. We try to keep a balance between realism and gameplay. We try not to sacrifice either in name of the other.
We try to please as many as possible, but it is simply impossible to please all.
Please feel free to give constructive feedback on our choices.
