so it's not a big deal to you if someones opinion on something is on the internet, but if someone reacts to that opinion with their own opinion it IS a big deal?

the problem isn't with having a different opinion, but with having a dumb opinion, like saying that if a game was bugged at release, it's automatically a turd AND will stay a turd no matter if it gets patched or not.

Show me 1 single game that has ever been released as a buggy mess, and that has later on been patched to become a well polished "fix't" game. I dare you. Show me 1.
In my 11 years as a gamer i have NEVER ever see that happen. If a game is buggy at release, it'll never change. The gothic games, Arma, vanguard, everquest 2, sacred (which i loved, still never became polished even after several years), sacred 2 to an extent, the list goes on and i have no more time cuz my lasagna is done.

Resident Evil 4 on PC. Just look at the screens before & after the patches.

No, he was trying to proove my opinion "wrong" by showing that some dude on a site said otherwise Smile

16x16 in MP, isn't that a bit little for this kind of game?

Many servers in BF2 had 32v32.

I always thought there was to little people in the BF2 vanilla mode.

Luckily some servers realized that and added 64 players on 32 player maps, and 32 on 16 maps, then it was a great game.

But it feels like this game will have larger maps than the biggest maps in BF2?

Maybe they have done it like in Joint operations where you have several bases on big maps that you fight over, in a certain order, so all fighting gets done in a small area on a big map.

You must not play many games then. Countless games have been released with numerous problems but great potential only to later be fixed.

ARMA 1 for example was a horrible buggy mess on release and I assure you if you were to boot it up today with everything patched it would play like it was meant to. The same will happen for ARMA 2 eventually.

I'm not saying it doesn't suck to pay for something and get a buggy mess but as long as the developer continues to support it more often than not patches tend to fix most problems.

Gothic 3, and saying its not fixed is loads of crap.
It works far better than ARMA2 does.
And at release it sucked donkey dingle...

i played at least a handful of games that i had to wait 3 to 6 months and different patches for, before i could play them properly. The original halflife for example was one of those that constantly crashed right out of the box and i know many people who have forgotten what mess that game was, because they either didnt play it when it was released or just forgot the bad memories because of the greatness of gameplay.

saying that a buggy game will never change is preposterous and there are also many games that i could list that have gone from buggy low-performance to highly awesome (oblivion, the witcher, two worlds, vampire the masquerade, and so on and so forth)

I agree with you 100%, but actually Half Life ran great for me out of the box, I bought it the day it came out too. I remmeber it being one of the few games that didn't have many bugs at release. Maybe I got lucky.
But yeah, I can't think of a game (that I played) that didn't have a patch or two come out after release

That's not completely true... The users "spot" releases on usenet and share them via FTD
