Sadly yes, WoW did raise the bar too high. New games are supposed to be better, they're just shells of a game.

This game is hands down one of the worst though.

Every time they die, they need to pay a fee to regain the lost exp, the bot can't do this so it just respawns and runs back to where it died. You do this over and over again, and eventually, the botter will have a VERY big fee to pay. Very Happy

It NEVER gets old.
xp guilt is maxed at 25% of xp to lvl up. congratulations on accomplishing pretty much nothing. it's actually cheaper and faster ingame to just max your debt asap instead of paying it off.

25% exp to pay back at lvl33/34 is quite a lot of money.
which is why you never pay it off, or at the very least not until lvl 49 when the xp debt is all that stands between you and 50. you lose more money and time otherwise.

I got signed up for the Korean version yesterday. They have a kind of semi trial account.
The game is free for download in Korea like every other game, so you don't have to buy it first. You have an option of buy a 3 hour or 30 hour pack instead of a monthly payment. Kind of handy for the casual user. I might play in spurts.. a lot one week, then not play for 3 or 4 weeks..so the 30 hours could be nice. They don't have an expiry date as far as I can tell.

Best of all the games are seemingly identical, so I can use the english power wiki they have set up to get all the quest info.

So who is gonna keep playing after the free month?
The low exp for quests and that you need so much for a level up just keeps getting too high. I heard they are planning to raise the quest xp. But why didnt they do that earlier? I bet people already mentioned it in the beta phases.
Seems as if they want to keep the people playing with any means, so they announce things the people want. But who knows when they will actually release that patch etc.
They even give out "veteran-items" to everyone that is paying monthly lol.

I think it was hard for people to get too those high levels because of the short beta periods. They usually lasted for only a few days.

But can't you make the client English as well? When I played the Chinese open beta I used a english pack that made everything including quest texts english...

Missed your message before. I don't know. I've already found one or two quests in the Korean version that aren't in the NA version (At least according to the NA power wiki). If someone could provide me with the English pack, I could try it out and see if it works.

well I find the enu.pak from the chinese beta. It doesn't work with the Korean version. I expect because there is no kor.pak in the korean version. The chinese and english versions are probably international versions and have a slightly different architecture than the native kor one. It is okay, my korean is slowly getting better.
