We've got a new campaign coming!!!11 Jeez man, what the fuck is wrong with you? You're so hard to please! You should be felating Gabe for doing the honour of releasing a 30 min "quick play" campaign a year after release! How dare you not respect him for that!
Better than the press release footage imo. Also l4d2 is "refused classification" in australia. AKA BANNED. Cunting OLFC needs an R-18+ rating for games like these but doesn't have one so they just get refused classification and cannot be made commerically available in australia. I hope they someone forces them to reconsider.
The one for L4D1 was 10.000.000$. The preorders are already 300% more than those of L4D1, and Gabe Newell predicts it's going to be the fastest-selling game of Valve.
And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"
Haha, you are right about that, but they said before that they want to make an MMO and I didn't put much thought to what I typed, so yeah, you are right that DotA isn't an MMO and most likely the new project won't be a MMO either. My bad.
And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"
Heh, got a neighbour/friend with a 5 year old kid that will totally love this. I tried getting him to play kid friendly games (mario kart etc) but ever since he saw me playing L4D he refuses to play anything else.
He's a funny little fella, when im playing he tells me i'm stupid and that i dont understand shit (e.g if im lost on a map or if i use a medpack when he thinks that i shouldnt). It hurts being pwned by a 5 year old lol
21st of October the boycott group will be closed since Valve has responded that there are going to be many patches and DLC for L4D and the group succeeded in their goal.
And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"
Unless they got free BJs or something at Valve, I can't understand why would they change their mind just because they didn't pay for the trip.
My opinion is that they didn't know what they wanted to accomplish from the beginning. I remember how their manifesto was copy-pasted from a topic someone created on steampowered.com who WASN'T a boycott member. They didn't even ask him if they can use his text for their boycott group. Sometimes they were against the price of L4D2, other times against the release date of L4D2, or the content of L4D2, or bugs in L4D, or the absence of DLC for L4D, or....
Also they claim that the release of Crash Course means that they influenced Valve and we got DLC because of them, and we should be gratefull for this and all the future DLC.. = their group has worked. This makes no sense to me, but whatever, if that makes them to close the group, then it's all good.
And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"
Can you blame them? I mean they got to go on an expenses paid trip to Valve.
That means Valve broke into their homes at 3 in the morning, gassed them, and then dragged them all the way to Valve HQ where they were introduced to Gabe. Gabe then had them sit on a chair, prop their legs up on a table, and then introduced their legs to his ass.
They were then threatened on pain of broken arms to type up their little post, which was of course written by Valve's PR guy. And then I'm pretty sure Gabe broke their arms after that as well because what the hell, they were already there anyway. Might as well go for the whole tour.
That is the Jockey boss infected. It jumps on the survivors back and steers them into a large group of zombies. For some reason when the Jockey jumps on the survivors back it makes the survivor run! LOL!

I posted this L4D2 info in the L4D thread not knowing there was a L4D2 thread. It's interesting so I thought I would include here:
New Boss Infected
* The Charger, an infected with one arm beefier than the other, can move quickly and knock players in its path off their feet. It can also grab players and smash them against the ground to deal major damage.
* The Spitter, an infected that projects balls of mutated phlegm that splatter across an area, eroding the survivors' health as long as they remain within it.
* The Jockey, an infected that is able to jump onto the back of a survivor and steer them towards other infected or traps set by the game.
* Wandering Witch, Witch's behavior in daytime levels and she will now wander around the level instead of being stationary as in the first game.
Old Boss Infected also included
The list of currently known uncommon infected:
Seen in The Parish
* Hazmat suit infected, an infected clothed in a fire-proof Hazmat suit. Incendiary bullets act as normal bullets, and do regular damage.
* Riot gear infected, an infected wielding riot gear and is thus impervious to bullets fired at its front. Its back is still vulnerable.
Seen in Swamp Fever
* Mud Men, an infected that prowls through the swamp, and throws mud at the survivors. This mud almost completely obscures the stricken player's vision.
Seen in Dark Carnival
* The Clown, an infected who was once an entertainer for fairs, and is still dressed as a comical clown. Its squeaky shoes attract infected, but it usually doesn't attack head on.

in regards to that stupid boycott group thing... the people organising it were just promised free copies of l4d2.. i mean really, thats all they wanted, right? didnt want to pay for free promised content, and now they dont have to, so they succeeded.. *shrugs* i definately dont blame them, id do the same thing in their position as well, absolutely... good on em for kicking up a fuss and getting a sweet reward out of it...
but like i said, nothings changed... no way is valve going to support a dead game (pun not intended ) so the boycott 'ending' doesnt mean shit. killing off l4d (yeah ok pun intended that time) less than 6 months after they released it, at full price no less, was a dick-move by valve, and while i will PROBABLY buy tf3 when its eventually released for simplicities sake, i wont be supporting valve anymore. buying-off people to shut em up and try and gain public support makes valve even more bastard'y than i previous thought!
the sales of lfd2 will no doubt be huge, which will pretty much signal the end of valve being considered a developer 'for the gamers', because the message being sent is that we dont care what they do or how they act, reinforcing gabes belief that they dont even have to bother supporting their games anymore.
What ? L4D2 is L4D with some more content, it's not a true sequel. So, it's a cash-in. Once it's released, the original L4D is deader than M.Jackson.
And that's in "less than 6 months" from L4D1 being released is it? Must have been in some kind of time warp, it seems like more than 6 months already
dont be silly... either youre making a poor joke, or youre not thinking. i only said 6 months because about 6 months had passed before valve announced l4d2 in development. all the l4d content that was meant for the game, around this time, became l4d2 content, so yeah... around that time, lfd died. i said nothing about release dates.
and no, l4d is not ITSELF being updated and worked on.
valve has allready admitted that its a dead end, which is why they wanted to focus on, and put all promised new/upcoming lfd 1 content, into the new game. The only content the original game has gotten, and will get in the future after l4d2 is released (if its lucky), is the occasional piece of crap that wasnt of high enough quality to be included in the second game. valves pulled people off TF2 to work on l4d2, so dont tell me that theyre finding time, resources and people aside to work exclusively on fresh new content for an obsolete title THEY'RE ABOUT TO REPLACE!!! youd have to be a complete moron to think any company (one that isnt NONPROFIT) would pump money into something they were currently spending all their time, money and effort in replacing in a couple of months... id like to hear your logic on this one.
like i said... what more evidence do you need? why would a company with even an ounce of intelligence, continue to work on and create more content, for an old game when a replacement is released to market? how does that make any rational sense to you? the only one here who cant seem to grasp logic, is yourself.

You said killed less than 6 months.....don't back pedal now just because I called you on the drama queen act.

Some evidence. That's just all assumptions and guesswork, which is at least partially proved wrong by their constant updates, DLC releases and promised future DLC releases.
a replacement product comes out. why would a company invest time and money into creating exclusive high quality content for an old product, once a REPLACEMENT has been released? is it not rational to focus on updating a new product with premium content, instead of the inferior one?
and i've already explained where the piss poor DLC releases come from. they're junk from l4d2 that didn't make the cut. youll state that this is just assumption with no proof, but like i told you, they're so busy working on l4d2 they've pulled people from tf2 to work on it, so ill say... again... trying to use rational thought, why would valve...with their obvious time/manpower restraints, set people aside to work on exclusive content for a game they're currently in the process of replacing?

oh christ you're being thick. when content being WORKED on for a project, gets TAKEN AWAY from the project to be dumped into a NEW one, because the company considers the original product (being L4D) a DEAD END, then YES, that signals the death of the product.
