I just can't get over at how bad the commentary audio quality is. It's like listening to a match over AM radio.

What's your sound card?Realtek? If yes try to set it to stereo speakers configuration or experiment with sound acceleration.XP,Vista or W7?

NBA 2K9 has stellar audio on all accounts, including commentary, with the same system settings. Load up NBA 2K10 and everything sounds great besides the commentary which sounds downsampled to hell.

Maybe is downsampled because of the dynamic commentary feature and the lines that will be added online.

Well, it's a dual-layer DVD anyway, so why downsample it that much? Give it the full 8 gigs if need be.

I guess they've gone this way to have smaller commentary lines in size for online updates with NBA Today.I really don't know for sure.

jesus christ, where is the release....

god im so tempted to buy it but i wanna test it first Sad

How is the my player mode? How does it work? What are the exact steps when you're trying out pre-nba? Also, does the game help out a lot with positioning and the person you're supposed to guard when you just control one player?

My Player works great. Only problem that will need a patch is to be able to select quarter length, which for now is locked to 5. It works for Summer Camp, but not for NBA matches.

You start from Summer Camp as a ~40 rtg rookie, any position and style you want. You get skill points from drills (remember development in 2K9?) and matches, which you can spend on actually increasing your skills.

Your matchup is marked the usual way, same way as 2K9. Positioning you'll have to figure out on your own though. Clear your own ways, get open, ask for a pass at the right time.

You're being constantly evaluated positively or negatively depending on what you do (good pass or positioning, rebound, assist, good shot selection, turnover, allowing your matchup to get a shot in, not guarding properly), and it all sums up in a grade-like score which is updated and shown to you live. You get full evaluations and commentary, as well as tips on what skills to spend your points on and on what not to.

If you play well in Summer Camp, you get to enter an NBA team's training camp, otherwise you enter the D-League.

Overall, it's a pretty well done experience. I was instantly hooked and kept playing on it for hours, until I realised the 5 min quarters problem. Since if and when this is patched I'll have to start the My Player season over, I've stopped and started playing an association.

And boy is the dynamic commentary excellent.

Oh and by the way, quick tip for those that like me like 12 minute quarters. Since there are no good sliders out yet, try lowering game speed to 40 for now. Seems to bring a more realistic pace to the game and better scores.

Saving during the match is now available!

Finally i got it.This is the best sports game in the history of pc gaming. The dynamic commentary is a dream come true for me.I remember talking about it with friends in the early 90's and back then was an utopia for us.
Gameplay is top notch, there's more space now on the court, AI is definitely smarter and game plays well with default sliders only tweaking down inside,close,mid,3pt success to tone down the FG% for both human/cpu.
As i said NBA Today feature is an iinovation.

I cant wait anymore so i bought the game from Gamesrgate. Its very cheap too. Only U$19,00 for a so nice game is a bargain. I usually pay U$35,00 for games in Brazil. Too bad the download speed is 40/50 kbs. Hopefully it will speed up later in the night.

Where did you get it from for $19.00?
