Not sure if I understand it correctly.... :/
Steam Blows - Yes = It sux
Steam Blows - No = It's awsome
???? or just oposite????
I want to make sure, that I vote of right option...
Sametimes it's hard to understand the meaning of idioms (at least for me)...

i like steam its much better than other games of a series. imagine playing quake 1 2 3 TA plus all the mods from one single platform where news, updates, fixes etc. can all be downloaded for free with no need to locate directories etc. stop saying its shit when it clearly isn't.

Depends how you look at it:
If you look at it from the POV of "is it convenient to use now?", it's a great tool.
If you look at it from the point of view of "what could happen if more developers adopted this", the idea's not so good.
Imagine iTunes for games... DRM on every game sold... restrictions of where, when, and how much we could play a game, and much more.
Before, it was nearly impossible to put a monthly fee on CS. A server could be created at the blink of an eye, by anyone, and joined by anyone. Now, it would take one bark from Newell, and you find yourself coughing up $15 a month for CS:S. It's not impossible. With this system, it's inevitable.
I personally object to where this is heading. Imagine if Microsoft forced us mandatory updates... No longer can you refuse to install SP2, because it's a buggy POS, you now MUST install it, or stay offline. Imagine not wanting CS 1.6, but being forced to "upgrade".
Sure, this appeals to your laziness and lack of motivation to spend 30 seconds on Google twice a year, but this could lead to some consequences a lot more serious than what you see now.
One of them could be the end of warez...

Lets think about this, it further hinders warez.
Are you people fucking insane? Do you have george w. bush, or big brother fucking you anally every night or something? This is a BAD THING. Because of people like you, our society will eventually turn into a horrible 1984 type situation one day. Stop taking it up the ass. Stop being so god damn ignorent. For once, why dont you think about the big picture, instead of, oh hey, its more convient.
Your probally the same fuckers that say - Oh hey, lets replace the jobs that real human beings do with machines, because it saves us time and money, fuck them. Who gives a shit about what they think, I just want more money. GJ assclowns, you just made some 40 year old with a full family of wife and 3 kids , poor.
Because of fuckers like you, my kids will probally one day be living in a 1984 type situation. And I swear on everything, if that does happen for real, I will hunt down every single last one of you fuckers, and kill you. Why?
Well first off revenge, for you taking no action what so ever, because you took the propaganda up the ass like a little bitch, and did nothing.
Second off, just the fact because killing a person will be my last true freedom.

Here is something to think about -
Your standard blonde haired, blue eyed german, living in nazi germany never had any problems with killing millions of jews.
Harry Truman never had any problem with nuking japan.

You wanna know whats even more funny?
No one gives a shit about a word I said. Then when this does happen (which I guarentee it will if nothing changes), they will then finally start doing something about it. It will then of course be to late, and tada.

Oh please, don't - he's really a comedian at heart. Take everything he says with a pinch of salt, and you'll realize he's quite funny.
On the topic, I've already explained previously why I like STEAM, mainly because it's worked so damned well for me. I guess those who are against it are mainly pirates, or (as usual) don't know how to use their systems.
There have been some technical issues, and I'm not sure I like the fact you can't sell your copy of the game without giving away your STEAM-account, but that's similar to several MMORPG's, and you don't get much money for second-hand games any way. Besides, lots of cool mods are coming up for HL2
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

you know what really pisses me off? steam is great. But you fkers are dissing it like it's some sort of AIDS for games. jesus fking christ... and then you have the NERVE of bringing up the one thing that i think can go wrong with gaming... charging per time, like any mmorpg, which I think is pure horseshit, and try to put that on steam. If you have ANY gripe with the gaming industry, charging money per usage should be that one gripe.
Please, elaborate to me how STEAM hurts you. Give me valid arguements, I don't want shit like "it sends my information to valve" because I don't give a shit if valve knows what cpu you have, or that valve banned you because you used a warez version. If that happened you are either a.) incredibly retarded or b.) incredibly retarded
anyways... yeah... had to rant
