I absolutely adored slingshot mage in BG2. Razz The slingshots were pretty powerful, and combining it with almost nonresistant spells was epic win.

Mages were ultra-powerful in Baldur's Gate, especially towards the end of the game. Who can forget fireballing a mob of goblins ? The console would just fill with their deaths Very Happy

I remember I was using a spell that created little meteorites which I could throw like a normal weapon. pwnage Cool

More blood and stuff via a bunch of screens. Very Happy
(This one is pretty unfair though despite it being some undead creature, heh - http://www.ag.ru/screenshots/dragon_age_origins/306138#show )

It's pretty plain but they do have a massive collection of screens plus other info, not that I read the site but navigating the images is quite easy and it's very up to date.

Eh? She looks horrendous, and if that wasn't enough, her voiceactress is pretty terrible judging from the clips they've shown.

It's not GFWL title. It still could have achievements but they won't be centralized like it is with Live GamerScore.

Could work like in Mass Effect I guess, unsure if they give gameplay bonuses though, heh.
(Pretty sure DLC and other bonuses are via EA's servers as well, unsure if it's possible to rip them but it should be doable, Bring down the sky was hacked and I guess Pinnacle Station is doable as well although so far it's been left alone.)

Mages in Witcher books were awesome. They were not only good with magick but also often quite skilled with melee weapons.
One of them even kicked Geralt's butt in one of the most well written fight scenes ever. And since then I always wanted to play mage who not fully relies on his magical prowess but more on actual strength and combat skills, but question is, is he really a mage then? Smile

No it is NOt a mage. Its a walking tank.

Mages are frail by nature and must be taken care at the begginning, normally with fighter escort so they can learn and develop, then they become (if proper developed) the most powerfull char. With a "battlemage" Rolling Eyes you would have to disperse your level up points by melee, magic and possibly bodybuilding at the nearest gym, wich means by the time my mage was casting fireballs, your arnold battlemage would be learning to light a candle with is sword under is armpit. Pure chars are always (if proper dev) more powerfull.

Following the DLC armor trailers here's a DLC keep trailer.
(Unsure if the Stone(d) guardian trailer is out or if it's next in line for release.)

EDIT: Here's the armor trailer again just to keep things simple.

Looks great, but I never understand what purpose such trailers serve. Creating hype I guess. Would be great if they would add such cinematics ingame though.
