reading on evo-web forum ive found an interesting workaround for the unresponsiveness.
simply raise monitor refresh (im on 75hz here now) and force vsync with something like d3doverrider.
voilà.
game now feels like its supposed to be.
its like from nite to day to me. i can finally chip the ball near the goal now
It seems to be sped up by just about ~75/60.
But what did kinda work is setting refrehrate to 75, and than down to 61 with PowerStrip. Now VSync cant be enabled by the game, but its more responsive
I *think* (was to lazy to actually test theory) you need to change the refreshrate normally to something other than 60, check that vsync option is missing from the demo settings and change via PowerStrip (maybe even 60Hz possible) to something near 60. VSync should still not be available, but D3Doverrider will make sure of that.
no, we're now talking about 61Hz as 75Hz seems to speed up the game considerably. by 25%
But Maybe just 60Hz works fine too, if you change it via control panel to 75Hz and than back to 60Hz with PowerStrip. maybe, just maybe the game doesnt really recognize it and will not use its own VSync and thus not break controls...
This refresh-rate thing has been a problem with PES on the PC's for a long time now Come to think of it might have affected the PS2 releases, with differences between WE and PES... if memory serves anyway.
The responsive'ness is all about timing, Its one of the keys in PRO.
Trust me i know the game in and out. (true PRO player since its early days)
Force refreshrate to 60, thats the way its meant to be played.

sadly i must say your right. The lag does not disturb me so much anymore... must have just gotten better at this by playing fifa
still, playing this isnt really fun after playing fifa
game seems better in general than the demo.
i still dont like :
1)no fouls in the game
2)id appreciate a slower pace, even slower than that
3)sometimes it looks like a pinball (see reason 2)
4)better goalies (more reasonable exits, block some more shoot even if strong)

omg? is this the PC version if it is im speechless it looks and plays like shit.Its plays like mobile phone game
I can't see any huge differences from the demo, except for the overall speed, which seems increased. Animations are still the same, passes are definitely too fast and goalies are...totally unpredictable. But Pes2010 is the only good football game for PC this year, so it's a kinda forced choice.
Yes I hope it comes out soon !
Last year it was released on the 14th but the official release date was on the 15th. This year it's scheduled for the 22nd of Oct, so we may have to wait a little longer.
Pros:
- Champions League and Europe League licences;
- Overall presentation and ball physics;
- The new sliders system;
Cons:
- Players movements aren't stil completely free (due to the partial use of 360);
- Too much "old style" (the lack of a real innovation in all the gameplay dynamics );
- Slightly delayed commands responsiveness ;
Unfortunately online hasn't been tested yet, since Konami servers aren't active until the official release.
Overall is a positive review though; as we already know (and according to the reviewer), PES2010 is a forced choice on PC, while it remains a step (or maybe two) below FIFA 10 console.
