I can now see my friend playing Forza 3 online (PAL). He works in distribution. Either he´s got soem kind of review sample or the real thing. If it´s the real thing it prolly wont be long until we see a Pal release.
It's most likely the real deal! Game went gold early September, and if he's in distribution i do not think it's a review copy at all!
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc
"Forza Motorsport 3 is only you, the car, the rubber and the road, in a blissful, never-bettered harmony - until the race ends, you pull back, and you get the bigger picture. Then you realise that that experience was just the centre of a huge, welcoming, flexible and shockingly complete package, a racing game that genuinely has a corner somewhere in it for everyone who loves cars, and a world-beating online platform to share that love with thousands of others. For 2009 at least, consider the racing game defined."
The bad:
But it is not perfect. Damage modelling is shallow and unconvincing...
Furthermore, despite the inclusion of drag racing and point-to-point tracks -
including the magisterial Japanese mountain roads of Fujimi Kaido - and a few
inventive race categories, the main career mode is still too short on variety
relative to its extreme length.
More seriously perhaps, the boasts of lavish content - 400 cars and 100 tracks -
ring a little hollow when you realise how much of it has been recycled from
Forza 2. You will very often experience a strong sense of deja vu as you take
the same car round the same track that you did two years ago.
Finally, and most controversially, there is the look of the game. You would
expect Forza 3 to boast staggeringly faithful and detailed car models, and it
does, no doubt. But despite that, it's graphically sterile and bland, with few
effects, poor environmental detail, and a relatively basic in-car view. In a
side-by-side comparison with GRID or the thrilling showboating of Need for
Speed: SHIFT, Forza 3 will leave you cold

More of those guys got it, and most of the time its retail !
so smack him !
/Smacks hard
Yeah, only problem he would never "borrow" the game to me until I can buy my copy at launch. Sucks with honest people.
Too bad the Forza-people could not get the graphics more convincing. I mean, it's all about the driving I know, but the graphics is a big emergence factor in car games IMO. Well well, at least it's released which is more than you can say about Gran Turismo.

Dude thankgod most of us forza lovers are not graphics whores. IF we where we would play other racing games like pgr with better graphics... It is all about the HANDLING of the cars.. and the driifting.. Its so realistic in forza2 I didnt played 3 yet fucking PAL version...Hope it comes fast!!11 Oh and my old 360 rod'd i didnt botter. Untill now brought new one and flashed... Waiting for pal mand godfkindamn..
The thing to remember is that race circuits in general are dull and bland. I can only think of 2 exceptions (San Luis, Argentina and Spa Francochamps) that break that trend that I've personally been round (been round about 30 or so).
The rest are dull and normally built in the middle of nowhere with nothing of interest around.
Grid and NFS:Shift looked pretty but weren't exactly a true representation.
Right, off to the cinema. Hopefully a PAL release when I get back
Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00GHz - 32GB Kingston HyperX - Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 - EVGA GTX 980 TI SC 6GB - Asus ROG Swift PG278Q
If you think that is low res, drive up to the building in london track
Seriously, SHIFT looks pretty mediocre (even on PC) and I don't understand all the raging boners some people are having over SHIFT's looks. Trees look like cardboard cutouts, textures are horrible, crappy bloom and blur fuckfest.
Yeah, to be fair, silverstone is probably the worst out of them (excluding Snetterton )
I'd have liked to have seen Brands Hatch in there and Donnington. Far nicer tracks than silverstone and far more fun to drive imo.
I'd kill for San Luis to be made for the game. Its got loads of gradients, its a circuit way above sea level (about 8k I think) and the track goes around a volcanic lake with mountains either side. Truely stunning circuit and very quick.

Its central Argentina. The circuits officially called Potrero de los Funes.
Its a new circuit (reletively speaking) and was finished November 2008. FIA GT's race there (except this year) but its back on the calender for next years FIA GT World Series.
In terms of the 8k, I mean its very high in the mountains so its bloody hot and the air is thin. Makes the cars do some unexpected things as engines don't generally run at that altitude in such heat.
