No, any change in disc layout can lead to unforseeable compatibility problems. Testing it on a major release like Forza 3 would be a bad idea, it's smarter to launch it with a smaller game and see if everything goes well.

Does Wave.4.Loader.for.iXtreme.1.6 work on all FWs? Aka does it do exactly the same thing as Wave3toWave2 PFF patch I got?

Its not a patcher, its a boot that removes stealth check i think letting you run wave 4 games on 1.6 since 1.6 is more secure and wont let you run dodgy stuff unlike 1.51

It is an iso that you need to burn on a DVD-R. You insert it into your console, the drive reads it and disables stealth check temporarly so you can play a badly ripped game (or a game with a new video partition that iXtreme doesn't support yet).
It is an official tool made by the developers of iXtreme that was released ages ago to make bad rips playable if you don't care about getting banned.
EDIT: Don't forget it only disables stealth check for one boot, after you turn your console off or eject the drive you need to insert the boot dvd again before you play an non-iXtreme compliant disc.

If you have an über old FW you can run whatever you want on it, only more recent revisions check the video partition.

im on 1.6 and a liteon ... i can get mine flashed to 1.51 easy but for the sake of using the activate disk to play a game on 1.6 whats the point .... like 30 seconds out ya time to boot a game lol ...
hopefully be news on xbox scene soon with official word

yep, if you have kept all your keys. If you're using JF then you need the current key and the original Key I believe.
If you've flashed it manually though, they're kind useful to have if things go tits up.
You only need the probe once.

Wave 4 games already can be played on 1.51
so there is a chance that the next IX will be more "durable" to the waves.
or the 360 will be more hacked then now
I won't wait forever to buy 360,so I might have to "update" the IX

yeah the next firmware maybe adaptable to new waves but ms might go down a differnet route .... who knows .. way i see it how much does a d/l cost ..

Has anyone tried playing that cars o rama game with 1.51 or was it a bad copy to begin with. Trying to figure out if its the game itself or the new wave thing causing the problems
