meh i was looking forward to the film but ultimately it was just a big pile of meh to me... and i love mindless acton flicks, but to me this one was really really forgettable, which is a pity because i like sommers films.

Watched it a week ago, can't say I liked it but I wasn't bored either, I still feel sorry for people who paid to see it in the cinema.
I do like stupid action films in general but this one has nothing new or spectacular to it, it's just the biggest and loundest pile of cliches I've seen in the past weeks.
BTW: The Wiki release is a state-of-the-art 1080p encode, the picture quality was the main reason why I kept watching it to the end and felt entertained.

i think the main problem with the film was a complete and utter lack of endearing/interesting actors.
i mean take things like the mummy or an even better example, star wars. average stories, filled with cheesy dialog... yet they worked because of the actors involved, they were so fun to watch and really turned meh material into a great film. thats why star wars ep 1, 2 and 3 sucked ass... still the same crappy dialogue and dumb story, but without the charismatic cast. heck, why do we enjoy arnie films so much? BECAUSE ARNIE'S IN EM!!
i can deal with a lot of crap, as long as the actors brng the good shit.

I wondered why there was no thread about movie when first rips appeared.
But then I realized that making a thread about this movie would be wasting Internet.

I watched this film like a week ago or so and I wan'ted to cry. I remember all the wonderful toys I had from this and how they managed to make this into something that would suck so much. I knew this flick wouldn't be good but damnit, I wasn't expecting this piece of garbage. T_T

It earned more money than Terminator Salvation in US and it is overall far better movie. Both PQ and AQ are superb. Really liked those nanosuits. Perfect summer movie.

From a certain point of view it IS better then Terminator Salvation. Both movies are crap, but T:S is originally based on the Cameron movies and seing how the low the franchise has fallen hurts and is a disappointment. GI Joe and the other hand was expected to be crap so there is no negative surprise.
But I want to make clear that I do not agree with this statement:
