we all know EA is the most tight-assed corporative game developer of all time.
but EA actions reflects something interesting: Like EA, other devs are following the whole situation, and learning from IW mistakes (a.k.a: don't upset a crowd that's willing to spend 60$ on a game).
Im almost 100% sure the protests and petitions will change absolutely nothing. But it's a learning experience for other companies to learn how to please a crowd and deliver good products, something that the consumers like, above all the profit margins.

What they'll learn is it will sell in bucketloads anyway so they can do whatever the F they want.
A fair chunk of those protesting are just hoping to change IW's mind, they'll end up buying anyways.

It will hurt their sales, problem is in these situations people are not informed so question is how many now that there will be no dedicated servers, my guess is a minority, the rest will buy it and be very, very, pissed, but a pissed sale is still a sale (unless you can return it maybe and only in the Usa, if you open a package it's yours forever over here).
