Well, all the maps are designed for 16 or 12 players so no loss there. If you enter a 50 player server in CoD4 you'll see that has 0 tactics, just non stop grenade spam. Of course you can still have fun for 10 minutes but it's just brainless action.

That's honestly the only reason I play CoD4 instead of CS:S every once in a while. I like mindlessly spraying through walls with the LMG and getting a shit load of kills because it's fun. If I wanted competitive play I'd just go back and play more CS:S.

To me nothing was more fun in COD4 multi then full blown wars like 15 vs 15, it was great especially in one particular map (and some were big enough for that many players) where you hide behind some stall and have that big machine gun then you aim at one door where every stupid mf had to walk out of Very Happy kills were just flying in.

And the one with all the pipes and factory was big enough for 25 vs 25, maybe not officially but the thing worked.

I dont really like crowded mp games, 6v6 or 7v7 is better imho for cod, otherwise it becomes like unreal and the such

Yes, because TF2 isn't successful as it's only 12vs12... (not counting lame NRT 32p servers)

I prefer bigger numbers, like 10vs10 for example, thou 30/32 are my favourites.
Why? Becouse u can get someone and flank enemy or get behind with friend or two and bring there mayhem. With smaller number fights are very intense but mostly in one place.

Personally 8vs8 is the limit for me,i only play S&D so its stupid to play above that number

Truth is they f****d up the game even more now, but never liked the servers with many players

AND COD4 IS A COMPETITIVE GAME!!!

Again, he only gives an example for a "Playlist" (aka a Filter), in this case filter servers that have : SD, 12-16 Players, No Respawn" Those are no indication or anything (it may or may not be the max, but nothing he said in that post are indicators or anything.)
