As if it isn't the publisher who has final say on copy protection and stuff like cd-keys, so the point stands.

Gearbox isn't the publisher. 2K said they'd look into it, which basically means "wait for teh fucking release date".

Gearbox responded with "We would rather a few pirates play online then the possibility that a paying customer will not be able to." |
| See I like this, they are catering to the customers, by some strange logic but still never had problems with cd-keys, and are not using the pirate factor in their equation.
Imagine every publisher says this
Quote: | "We would rather a few pirates play the game then possibility that a paying customer will not be able to." |
Meaning of course no protection like securom, starforce, limited activations, etc.

Well durr, obviously. The point was that 2K made the decision to not include the cd-keys either, so withholding the PC release seems kinda dumb.

It kinda reminds me of Serious Sam with a cool loot system. You fight enemies ALL THE TIME, and they respawn quite fast. Like Serious Sam, this is a GREAT mindless coop action game. Just kill, kill kill but also loot loot loot.
Great game. I will buy it on PC when i can.

Same thing they did with Bioshock when it got released and the pc gaming community wanted an sdk, we all know how that turned out right.
So don't hold your breath. |
hilarious thing is, it's the same lousy cunt who's in charge of all this now.

We don't hate you it's just errr, uh.......no we do hate you. |
Same thing happened with Bioshock, it had a silly activation thing, and pc users could sit and look at their box while the console users could play the game.
I'd bet even money that the activation date won't change one second.
2K Elizabeth/ innui was also there saying she was "working on it" in the bioshock threads, and people said "omg I love you for fixing it etc" Just a way to keep people calm while they can sit and wait
Furthermore those who have preloaded the game on steam, have the full game, I went through it all, it's all there.
It's just encrypted. So obviously the plan from the very start was that pc users had to wait to maximize console sales, this also supports the theory that it won't be unlocked/activated early.
The pc version doesn't come with a serial key either, so it will be pirated to hell, and no doubt some official will come forth and blame piracy for low sales, well should've released the game then shouldn't you?.
EDIT: The steam version is also encrypted with a 128bit encryption, so don't bother wasting time trying to decrypt it.

You won't be able to, they don't work weekends anyway, so if you don't hear anything tonight, then nothing is going to change.
