Quote: | CE items + Blood Dragon armoe we have to find mid game.
Not sure about the flash game items assuming we get them at the beginning since they don't seem too overpowering.
Preorder items such as Dalish right, lions boots, Promise ring we will get at the beginning along with Grimoire of Frozen wastes.
Think thats it. |
I asked about the items on the DA board.

One of the DLC's gives a rock golem as a companion. Wouldn't that cause balancing issues?

Dont think so, he was meant to be in the game from the start, but there was no time back then. and then they pushed the release date by 6 months(?) so then they had time to get him in.

did the manufactured copies drop into envelopes in the factory to fly off directly to the recipients or something?

You still don't know? The PC version was finished around February and EA wanted to wait for the console version to be finished for a more effective marketing campaign.

damador. wrote: | anyway game is out some shops sell it and early preoorders arrived - again ppl who bought electronic edition got screwed and had w8 week more | Wait, if this is true, how are electronic edition customers screwed? One can assume EA has ssigned/agreed a certain release day on which copies may be sold and now apparently some store have acted against that agreement/order and shipped early, while steam/d2d etc do respect the agreement.. How is that screwing certain people?

Easy: people want their fix as soon as possible. If they preorder from somewhere and a different place makes it available sooner, they will feel screwed.. This goes for all preorders, not just digital ones.

there's still no way shops would get it before they announced that it's gold. that it may have been more or less finished so long ago doesn't matter.
or do you believe they had the game boxes lying around in a storehouse for half a year?

btw they announced gold only for US version - it should be out 3 XI - EU isnt gold yet and is planned on 6 XI
distribution to shops usually takes 10-14 days and most end route shops get it at least 5 working days b4 official sell date
anyway it should be around in 1-2 days anyway

Does that mean that they have taken the time in the last 9 months in improving the game or has it just been sitting there gathering dust while the technology improves?

considering this
Quote: | A truly astonishing game. Vast, vivid and microscopically detailed. Dragon Age is the RPG of the decade |
I'd say it doesn't matter what they did during that time. The end result is what counts, and the end result is exceptional.

I don't doubt the logistical power of EA, but I'm leaning more towards this game was gold long before they announced that it was gold, and production copies have been spinning way before Friday. Granted I don't think we will see this game before the weekend, but you never know.

Where's the quote from, a DA fan site? Usualy those are the ones who gets to play/see the game first to hype it for the publisher)..
just read a review of Torchlight got like 100/100 from a fan site. lol. to me it seems like a 60/100 game..

the quote is from the pc gamer review.
Quote: | The first Dragon Age: Origins review has arrived via PC Gamer magazine, which brands the BioWare game "RPG of the decade" in its 94% review. |
Quote: | This is the most enormously detailed game world I've experienced, its history stretching back thousands of years, its cultures vivid, beautiful and flawed, the battles enormous, the humour superb. Roleplaying games now have a great deal to live up to. |
the reviewer apparently also mentions it took him 80 hours to play through once and it offers a lot of replayability due to multiple endings, origin stories, romances, decisions, etc.
