The russian voices are great, makes it more immersive as you're actually in a russian speaking country.

What I really like is to kill Russians when they beg me for mercy in Russian (pomogite). I like playing SHOC as Rambo, enter Russian military base and kill them all with just double barrel shotgun. Here comes Rambo to take care of Russian trash. Great game BTW.

yeah, plus the russian voices are great in stalker (loved this in cryostasis also). only downside is that not all speech is translated (the conversations between the other stalkers, for example) |
I loved how lots of the VO's were russian in the first two games as well. It honestly didn't feel right hearing the guys talk in english. I would have rather them kept everything in Russian and just had subtitles for me to read.
Also FYI, STALKER is on sale for 5 bucks on Steam right now. I've really been enjoying playing the original STALKER again now that we have stuff like STALKER Complete to basically make the game would it should have been.

Not sure if you missed the funny there lol, but Jb hardly would do his own voiceovers unless he was probably paid lol..

And THAT's why non-russians (and non-german-speaking-gamers) have to wait longer I believe.

Game is stand-alone, unsure if the installer will complain or anything but it works just fine here without Clear Sky.
As for DX11 functionality it's somewhat working via editing the config file (user.ltx) or via the console but the first patch will add a bit more such as proper tesselation support.
(Mentioed previously along with a basic google translation of the changelog.)

as pcpop said, the 2.6GB version lack the DX11 support, if you have the DX11 card, you should use the 4.37GB version, but if you don't install the clear sky first, the installer of the 4.37GB version refused to install it, I tested by myself with my 5870.

Tesselation makes the models look much "smoother".
