agreed chiv.

anyway,

the imaginarium - 4.5/10 - over hyped, stupid bs. rubbish story (weak, and nearly no story). only good if you're on acid.

michael jackson - 7/10 - damn that guy could dance, and it's interesting (to a point) to see him in his last days. that said, there wasn't alot more than music / his dancing. Where is all the backstage stuff, and more "talking"... meh. I'm sure the die hard fans will be happy enough though. I have no doubt his shows (which i had tickets to), would have been fucking amazing after watching it.

you should really try "Brasil" or "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" from him
Terry Gilliam is a great director

well personally i liked brothers grimm... don't care what others say, i thought the ledger/damon pairing was a hell of a lot of fun... plus it had a brilliant atmosphere and implemented fantasy incredibly well...

didnt REALLY enjoy las vegas, oh it was fun and had some great lines and sequences, but i prefer my movies to have a stronger narrative rather than being a pretty crazy ass random mishmashed drug trip.. yeah thats how it was SUPPOSED to be, but yeah... meh, not for me...

holy grail was excellent, 12 monkeys were really good and baron m was quite enjoyable... but if youre trying to convince someone that gilliam is great, i don't think fear and loathing is the place to start... id call that film a VERY acquired taste...

i thought tideland was one of the most unappreciated films in a long time
the purity of utter darkness if seen through innocent eyes

i would be deeply disappointed in gilliam if he made a film of conventional narrative and structure
he proved that he can do that with 12 monkeys already
but his mind is so much more complex than that
so i don't see the point of him doing films everyone else has already done and redone so many times

I liked 12 monkeys.

I get a feeling some of you may be back slagging this one off too in the near future.

I think people will be slagging off Imaginarium.

As for why I mentioned it again? Simple. People were still discussing it here!

My head hurt after watching that movie. Sad

I watched Necromentia yesterday tho....
Kinda like a hellraizer movie but not really, it was still pretty kewl cause it was shown backwards (ala memento) which was pretty fun to watch that way.

Well, it depends. I for one liked alot of the hellraiser movies (I liked the one about the cop who was trapped in his own personal hell) and can say that this one is kinda on par with at least the first ones. This one had a couple of things that I didn't really understand (maybe cause i was tired and not paying full attention) such as why one guy was squeemish about guts but could then switch and cut off fingers without a problem.
