All of you that are saying this game is crap are cheating yourselves plain and simple. This is one of the best Star Wars games period. I am not including KOTR of course but this game is unbelievable. The story is fantastic and the force powers MONUMENTAL!!! Ties in nicely with Star Wars A New Hope. I cannot believe there are people on these forums that think this game sucks. WHO CARES about the port, you can still play the game without problems. The save problem is bad, if it exists for everyone. But put that aside you cannot be serious you are going to uninstall Force Unleashed and not play it?!!! Well, I am a Star Wars fanboy so I guess I would have a cardiac arrest if I met someone at the mall that said they have never seen Star Wars. But still, this game is awesome even if you aren't a fan. You cannot compare this game to Wolverine for gods sake! You can compare it to Jedi Knight series and this is the best in the series if you ask me. When I beat the X360 version, it was followed by a sudden surge of being proud and sorrow for it being over. When I heard about the new DLC coming out on X360 I was so happy, but then I heard about the Sith Edition and was even more happy! I will be playing this again.

Give it another try!

MD

Well according to MS, it was a *requirement* for titles on the 360. I'm not sure if it was adhered to on every single game, but the ones I've played most certainly have greater AA filtering than the PS3. Either way, the fact remains; the PC version doesn't have AA either .. unless you force it via CP.

@Sabin
Well, 720p was also a requirement and we all know how that went... Laughing

But yes, if you read the article, you will see that PS3 suffers more due to very stupid design. Smile

True Sad

Ah well, perhaps $ony and Microsoft will get their act together on the NEXT "big thing", eh? Maybe next time they'll stick to their guns and keep everything purely HD.

You can have mine, if you want? It's about a quarter of the way into the first "real" mission. Hold up one sec.

I really have no idea why they have to invent such cumbersome hardware designs, especially the PS3 CPU. It might be revolutionary, but certainly not needed for gaming. Traditional PC design is all you need, really. Smile

I believe this is the one (located in Documents\Aspyr Media\Star Wars The Force Unleashed) it's just a single .bin file, but it's the only one there..

@Leo

Aye, my sentiments exactly. Hell, it worked for the Xbox and the 360. The PS2, with it's "Emotion Engine" chip only started to get great results near the end of it's life cycle :-\

I think JK:JA is much better than this...

That's cool, it's just my opinion. If they were to remake some of the older Jedi Knight games with this engine I might change my mind. I just loved the gameplay, locations, sounds, force powers and awesome graphics! I felt they were far superior and on a GREATER scale than the original games. Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast was great and I would love to see that remade!

There's a config.xml file in the following location;

Code:

C:\Users\Sabin Figaro\AppData\Local\Aspyr\Star Wars The Force Unleashed

With an option called "<s id="LowDetail">0</s>" Try changing the 0 to 1, saving, and loading the game. I've not tried it, but it can't hurt right?

Missed that it was possible to increase skills and learn new abilities, there's a lot of custom skins as well in this edition from Kotor 2 appearances to the various movies (Even the new cartoon one.) and some of the SW lore I guess, also seems it's possible to alter the saber a bit later on, that black/white crystal looks pretty funky.

Oh and the locked art gallery is pretty funny in how the picture is still visible even if it's locked. Very Happy
