Hey y'all, just wondering does it matter what kind of HD ya put in a PS2?

Yes, some are not compatible but only very few. Check the hdloader.net forums and look for a compatibility list.

Basically, all Maxtor should be able to fit in it 100% (the reason others don't work is b/c they usually aren't shaped right to fit, or they're just p.o.s. drives)... I use the HDAdvance 2.0 bootdisk (now there's rumors of HDA2.1), and it works GREAT w/ 200+GB. Make sure you check out www.ps2hd.com to make sure you know what you're getting into.
